You've worked so diligently to make your dream possible, I'm sure under some stress. It really is an inspiration. Mrs Rover has also been magnificent in her partnership with you on this project. I've donated a Rover coin in recognition. I have no expectation to receive a coin as they may be sold out. I wish you fair winds on your adventure! If your journey takes you to Sydney Australia you have a place to stay and a nice meal ready.

What a remarkable last week ahead of the launch...the shot of her sitting on the trailer free of the scaffolding took my breath away with her wonderful stance. It is true the form follows function and Wave Rover does it beautifully. Can't believe that you were able to film during those last hectic days...thanks for taking us along.

If I were an artist, I would do a painting called "Launch Day." In it, I would have a boat on a trailer just leaving the shop. Jogging behind it would be a worker with a small bucket of paint who would be putting the very last paint on the hull.

Meant to mention last video about the Tohatsu motor. I have had the UL shaft for 4 years. The one flaw is the openings for the shift linkages and oil drain under the bottom cowling allow water to get inside. When it's rough like leaving or entering an inlet I've had it cut off due to water getting into the cylinder. Always at the worst time. It has always restarted but sometimes it takes several hours. I contacted Tohatsu and they offered no help... that's just the way the design is and it isn't designed for those conditions.

About 50 years ago I purchased a small wooden schooner in Tryon. My brother in law borrowed a boom truck and an old boat trailer. On the way back to the Charlottetown Yacht Club, a bearing cooked on the trailer at Strathgarteney . So we went to a small garage near by and checked over their stock of old bearings. We got one that would fit inside the hub. When I tried to slide it onto the spindle, it would not go. In my frustration I whacked the spindle with a pair of vise grips, and it left a mark. So I started to clamp the vice grips into the spindle and would spin it around, it would remove metal. Eventually I was able to coax the bearing on to the spindle. We got it back together and finished the trip to CYC. Red neck engineering at its finest. Good Luck with all your adventures,,,,,,

Alan, I love your videos, and your ideas, and your adventures. I came from a very Nazi country, China, and I wanted to get out of here. For the past few months, I've been thinking about building a 5 - to 6-meter sailboat and sailing it from the southeast coast of China across the Taiwan Strait, into the Pacific Ocean, and then sailing to the Mariana Islands, well, maybe to Guam, maybe even crazier, across the Pacific, to the North American mainland. I had several ideas for sailing boats. If you're interested, I might be able to get some advice from you.
