That was valuable. After getting shut down by the pandemic, last year, I am a little rusty this year. I will do some of these drills at stick and puck.

Thanks Keeks! Iʻm almost 60 havenʻt played since stand-up days but Iʻm still kickinʻ. Gonna be playing inline 2-3x week when the next sesh starts, and when our one rink reopens (they decided to remodel at the beginning of covid and havenʻt finished yet, supply chain issues) 1-2x week on ice. Thanks for the excellent content especially the stuff geared towards the more (well/over) seasoned goalie. Iʻm in Honolulu, no goalie coaches here but were lucky to have a good core of adult players and a solid youth program to fill in behind.

For beer league warmups, I’ve found that I’m really looking to nail three things (in order): 1) Get my puck tracking going 2) Get a feel for contact to my equipment 3) Get my heart rate up and down in a game like fashion Not easy to do in the 4-5 minutes we get, so I really gun for the first two and the third comes as a result.

in bantom rep we get 2 minutes. it sucks.

Great training. Wish there were some adult goalie training options around Oshawa or east GTA. I think clinics and lessons would fill up.

Thank you for these videos! As a new goalie its nice to see what a real warm up looks like. I have tried to get practice at stick times but that usually is just facing 200-300 breakaways. I actually had to use a public skating session wearing goalie gear (no stick/pucks) to work on movement drills. It felt strange but its how I learned to do butterfly push slides without kids shooting at me as soon as I stepped on the ice.

my team had an unwritten rule, if i wasn’t ready or looking, they wouldn’t shoot it. i no longer play as I finished up my last year of hockey this year in highschool. very disrespectful that your team shoots on you when your not ready.

I've been really happy with the foam ball thrower to warm up my tracking at home. Do two rounds of 24 of those, then about 4 minutes of the elastic tennis ball that Maria Mountain showed a few years back. That gets my eyes going about an hour before the game. Then drive to the rink and go through stretching/whatever warm up I can get in the 3 minutes we have before puck drop. If SenseArena would come up with a beer leaguer/adult leaguer subscription that wasn't as feature rich as the pro nor as expensive I'd strongly consider that. Love the videos Keeks!

Da Maaaaazadaaaaa!!! Looking good buddy!! Warmups are always so tough for beer league goalies. A lot of times it’s the only opportunity we get to work on skills. I think there should be more beer league goalie clinics. Not sure if it’s fine in other cities but it would be huge for guys here in Nashville

Keeks! Great vid!!! Got lucky and listened to you on fan 590 this morning during the commute to work. How do I get one of those for the tip drill? We can get a weekly ice time for super cheap at the local rink. My son has used the info from your vids and gets better every time he’s on the ice. He’s got the nod for the home opener tonight! 🥅🏒

Hey Steve, are you serious about hooking us up with the specs of that awesome tool? It's unique and perfect for so many different options. If so, I'd really like a spec sheet and I'll get a couple made for myself. Love the big screen. I do something similar. great for reaction training and those times you are screened and you only get a quick glimpse of it through a leg or hip/arrm hole.

Great video. I mainly work on getting my hands moving and puck tracking in my warm ups. Go over my mental checklist, hands out in front, eyes open, stick out in front, get aggressive. If your still offering free advice, please check out the last video I posted. Worst game I have ever played.
