Many think that this song is about Angelina giving away her shoes, which really was a great thing to do. To me is more about the beauty, the strength, the spirit and the wisdom of this little orphan girl, and what she gave Angelina. I think that this is what Angeline want to show us by this song.

Nina gives some very insightful comments on Angelina, music and life in general. This was educational. I believe I’ve seen every AJ reaction Nina has done and been subscribed for some time. People in the music/entertainment industry sharing their knowledge is appreciated. There are so many channels now who regularly react to Angelina and currently Arab Man is my most anticipated. His insider commentary on performing and production are spot on. Nina as a composer is also a wonderful aid in understanding how AJ expresses her emotions. I’m kind of thinking that many of Angelina’s “Angels” are empaths.

Hi guys. I, of course, know Nina. I'm a sub of hers and she is the one who sang the opening line of Steve's wonderfull revisitation of Love don't let me go. I like her even more now 'cause she likes the same song that to me,to us, is the best one of the Old Enough EP:Good in goodbyes. Alan you know I have a" crush" for AJ's songwriting and storytelling ability. Everybody went crazy about Diamond,most likely for her rap interlude, but lyrics wise for me and Nina Good in goodbyes is the top. You had me sold....my guts tell me no.....so slum beautifull....in my mental playing me like a fiddle..riddles... Devil with angel's wings.. I don't do darkness...and so on and so forth. I'm addressing Nina now. The lyrics you couldn't remember are: it hurts sometime when they push you on the edge of your mind where comparison will rob you blind got ya feeling all empty wondering if you're worthy it's crazy. To me every single comma of this song is Poetry. I'd appreciate if you could have Nina read my comment. Thanks. 👍👏❤️👋

On the subject of Angelina's eye contact, I have commented elsewhere that she always performs for an audience of one - the individual listener. On Angelina's development of lyrics in her songwriting process, I believe she has said she has dozens of journals from which she draws her inspiration. So, she already has an outline of sorts, as Nina said. I haven't had a chance to see many of your episodes, but I am somewhat familiar with Nina's channel and made the time to watch this. Very good. Thank you both, and Nina, for giving us an understanding of how this world that touches us all really works.

Yes, colab, Angelina Jordan and Nina Schofield on new song and especially Colours and Thriving; and maybe partners, like those famous writers of songs sometimes; because you never know, trying each opportunity, might lead to wonderful possibilities, explore 🙏 iam an empath; and you can learn to turn off and on your empathy as you are amongst people; but the most common way is to squirrel yourself away like John Lennon did, he would have come back with more beyond beautiful music; if all of us at the present and future hadn't been robbed of his presence in the 3D; and other musical artists to recharge your batteries, I wonder if two empaths got together in any kind of relationship, would they be a power house of energy like a perpetual energy motor that keeps energizing each other's batteries always, you never know, that would be something worth exploring, iam rambling or is my mind exploring; which I love to do, exploring all the possibilities ❤️🔥

Regarding Princess of Ruins, prior to performing the song at the concert she explained the song and said that the story was her identity. That’s why I think it was a very important song for her to write. I think Boudy of Arab Man Reacts would be a great guest. He devotes Mondays to Angelina. I also think Britt of Britt Reacts would be another great guest. She has well over 100 Angelina videos.

OH.... such a wonderful episode, guys! I really loved this one. Nina is just the sweetest, isn't she ?? I thoroughly enjoyed hearing her own thoughts about Angelina, herself and music in general. Always nice to hear things from such a knowledgeable person. I wonder if being an empath is a rather common denominator for artists in general, at least singers? Almost to the point of necessity ? Maybe that can also help explain, at least to SOME extent, the substance abuse that you see with a lot of the artists... That it maybe is too emotionally draining to cope with over extended periods of time, like for instance on a tour. Just my thoughts. Which again proves that the episode did something. Anything that can make you reflect, regardless of subject, is a good thing. Anyhow, all of this really highlights the importance of protecting these artists as much as possible, and Angelina's family is the VERY best example of doing a great job with it. And hopefully, this protective cocoon if you will, the foundation, will be enough to keep Angelina safe if and when the going gets tough. Because I guess that it at some point WILL. It just goes with the territory somehow. Personally I have no doubt that Angelina's foundation and beautiful inner being WILL be enough for her to come through at the other end of her career emotionally unscathed. Thanks again, Alan and Pontus, for doing this podcast. It is a treasure trove both as for right now, but maybe even more for the future, when the whole world knows who Angelina Jordan Astar is. Much love from Norway as always ♥♥♥♥♥
@pjg58x6 ай бұрын
Yes I agree that she probably does start with the lyrics because she has said that her song ideas and lyrics come from her journals. So she may start with a lyrical outline and then the music flows out of the lyrics. Since most of her songs have cowriters it would seem that after she has a song worked out she may ask collaborators to help her polish and wrap up the song. This seems to be her writing process from what I’ve read in some interviews. Since she has said that she has written over 100 songs I would think that they don’t start with cowriters.

The reality might just be that we, Angelina's Angels, are groupies who find it hard to see beyond our focal point. There _are_ amazing singers out there who can objectively be placed above Angelina's current vocal strength and performance value by those, such as Nina, whose vision goes far beyond our groupie tunnel vision. Of course, for us, there is also the factor of how Angelina makes us feel that is generally not factored into a list of other singers. I think Nina's feelings for Angelina are genuine and realistic. And the same can be said about any number of other trained reactors who react to Angelina in a clearly positive and loving manner.
