The swing bridge baffled us too. Not seeing it operate leaves one to only ponder how does that get cars from one side to the other. If we stretched the Badger could we swing to Manitawoc?😂😂

It swings open and connects the 2 sides together. Then the vehicles cross and it swings back into the position thats in the video when cars are finished crossing. It's not used all that much. State owned property.

Hahaha! Glad it wasn't just us trying to figure it out! :)

We brought our cruiser from Georgia to The Chesapeake Bay and encountered many homemade no wake signs. I'm a responsible boater but a 10 day trip would take a month if I observed those signs.
@cruisingandromeda2 ай бұрын
We saw those too! We did slow down whenever we saw docks as a courtesy which did make for some pretty long, slow stretches. Andromeda seems to have a much bigger wake than other boats. Thank you for joining us! :)

I'm glad you stopped in Georgetown. A lot of loopers bypass it not knowing what they missed. We have built our retirement home here and love it. You pronounced Winyah correctly the first time you said it. WIN-YAH.

Thank you so much! Usually we mess up the pronunciations lol! Thank you for verifying for us! We appreciate you joining us :)

This episode featured not much Kathy, absolutely no Ollie, but some beautiful scenery (and great cruising music to go along with it). And your bonus close-up, slo-mo shots of boat chores and editing were really cool - very artistic!

Sometimes cruising on the inside is the only way to get to know and appreciate the people, places and cultures that make up coastal America, where it all began. And in our too short sailing experience, a lot less stressful when the open ocean is acting up. Thanks for a bit of scenery from the South Carolina low country my grandparents always talked about with affection during family gatherings so many years ago. Big thanks for the intro to Georgetown SC! And then those dreaded boat chores...but always impressed with how y'all keep Andromeda ship shape!

Yes! The ICW is much nicer than an angry ocean LOL. Thank you so much for always supporting and encouraging us! :)

Did you experience any issues with low tides/shoaling going through Georgia? I've heard horror stories from Loopers...
@cruisingandromeda2 ай бұрын
Hello! We were really careful with following the charts and staying in the channel. We never bumped or had an issue thankfully! It definitely kept us on our toes though! Thank you for joining us :)

Georgia's husband Randy here. Love your video's, and the music you choose. Still on my bucket list to do the loop. Seems like you guys are always in a hurry to get the loop completed, are you on a tight timeline, or the approaching winter months? I know you had a substantial delay after you hit the submerged log, but it still seems like you are missing a lot by being more concerned about making miles rather than enjoying the small towns and enjoying the trip. That said, I'm still jealous that you are out there doing this and I'm not! You have one of the best loop channels on you tube!

Hello Randy! Thank you so much for your support! We did have a timeline of sorts for our loop. Bob is not retired yet, and we needed to get back before summer work and for our girls. We missed a lot, but by doing it earlier (although faster) we learned SO much for the next time when we can go slower. :) Thank you for joining us!

Hi Larry! We actually crossed our wake in Ludington, Michigan June 1st of this year :) We can't wait to get back out there!
