Tony has learned a lot since his time as prime minister . How refreshing to be able to listen to a politician speak in the interest of the people without a word of wokeness or drivel .

But you are forgetting, people with common sense have no place in leadership anymore. Leadership is a haven for the woke these days.

Most Aussies wanted him to carry that knowledge and wisdom _before_ he became PM. His profound hubris saw him toppled by his own party, a rarity. He wasn't even in the Lodge long enough to score a PM's pension. What good is his new insight now? Being a paid commenter?

Abbott actually said that he would not support the Royal Commission ,"Because it would only turn into a witch hunt against the Catholic Church". I believe that most deluded people who believe in their own particular extra terrestrial superior entity are just that, deluded and do no harm, but many in the Catholic Church put the tainted name of the church before the victim.@@keltonreyneke8948

Good for Tony and the country if he’s staying in public service and helping Australia’s cause. Not my political cup of tea in many respects, but he tends to mean well and you can’t fault his passion to win one for Australia. Like most men, they get better with age.

IPA has stepped further down into the gutter since I last visited. Honestly, IPA, now you're sounding like Sky News. You're very well-funded, what happened to the mature, adult approach to right wing propaganda? Where you respected your audience and assumed they were reasonably economically & politically literate? Now you're tabloid, sensationalist and jingo. I bet many regulars fled.

We can only imagine where we would be in Australia if this was the 10th year of an Abbott coalition government. Imagine if Turnbull and Morrison had never been PM, the pandemic had been managed under Abbott's plan without lock downs and people had accepted the $10 Medicare co-payment. Imagine the principled stand our Nation would be taking now on Israel and home-grown support for radical Islam, and on support for Ukraine.

We had one of the lowest Covid death rates in the world, due to lockdowns & other protocols. Without them, how many more would die? Twice as many? Easy to say 'Lockdowns bad' until your parent, spouse or best friend succumbs. TA also spent like a drunken sailor & never listened to advice. I shudder to imagine Australia 2024 under religious bigot Abbott.

There is currently an unprecedented number of generators wanting to connect to the power system. And more generators are connecting in places where lots of other generators are already connected, so some lines are becoming heavily loaded - making the electrical losses worse.
