Jonathan, you made facotry what it was... no one can understand the love we had for factory, the REAL Sound Factory that started 5am Sunday mornings, after drinks stopped being served and tourists went back to their hotels. I had hoped one day someone with some spare cash would reopen it, but seems that wont happen. I believe I speak for everyone when I say "those years were the greatest time of our lives" RIP S.F. Forever in our hearts

"Now it's more like a lot of restaurants with no Chef's, just Cooks."....I partied at SF, Exit, Twilo and Jersey Clubs and have DJ'd since 2002. Those words from JP were so profound and deep, you have no idea. Trust me when I tell you the Mid's 90's to early 2000's was our generation of Studio 54. Unless a real House sound revolution occurs where Tomorrowland goes back to the Homelands vibe, then what we experienced will never come back. Salute to JP! So MANY amazing memories!

Jonathan.....WOW....after all these years its great to see you. Its Carlos, Richard Grant's best-friend in the early 90's. I remember coming into that booth and experiencing the magic. Thanks brother. I am glad you are well. it was heart breaking when i learned that Richard had passed on..... R.I.P. Legendary RICHARD GRANT You are correct in saying that no one ever did it like Richard Grant. I should know..... I was sitting in the front row ;)

This gave me the opportunity to get to know him a bit more than I ever did, I never would gone up to him to bother him during his busy nights, also, I wish I brought him a gift now that I think back, I was 22, yes old , now I'm 46, but feels like yesterday when I hear the best of him!!!! Loved those days , forever!!! We all loved him and the club!!! XO

There is probably only 2-3 DJ's that can even relate to JP. There is not a DJ out there that can work a room like JP. Guys an absolute beast. The way he teased tracks & then remixed them for 45 min str8 was legendary. Where is Luz Divina today? In your eyes was an absolute banger! You couldn't hear it unless you came to SF, and he would tease it for hours & them go off! SF was the modern-day Studio 54. JP didnt give a Fuck about the $, just the party! That's the difference. If he chose to chase international stardom he could have been one of the top talents. But he really cared about the party every week. JP we feel lucky to have that experience BRO! I remember walking in there at 8am on a Saturday morning & walking into another world! That party went to Monday morning & nobody wanted to go home! That shit doesn't exist anymore!

Yes so true. was cool sometimes seeing the owner there- overlooking the scene, those custom flyers, the themes, often same security guys you’ll see week after week, then that edgy sexy dark harsh tech sound giving way to an euphoric vocal where the room would shake, those records specifically made for that custom ‘SF sound,’ remember meeting Jim H., Bush, and that time I found fun candy in a wrapper on the floor lol.

To the DJ I still emulate till today...Thank You JP. To the factory fam, those that remember the vibe and to those amazing Sunday mornings.... It was really an experience that can't be described unless you were a part of it. You remember the factory family Vibe for your whole life and carry it with you. Nothing has come close to it since and I feel bad for this new generation that doesn't know what that feels like. Closest thing they get to it is EDC and other festivals. Unfortunately all of those lack the intimacy that sound Factory was about. Half the fun was the music. The other half was meeting amazing people every single time, who welcomed you with open arms. To those that remember, thank you to my factory family for all those amazing memories. You remember what the phrase "My Love Is Your Love" really means and how we took care of one another. You'll always be in my dreams and in my heart. Much love & respect always. :)

I love how he did his vocals!!! Also a huge group of us from southern mass, would go down to New York many, many times to see him, over 20 to 30, sometimes in smaller groups, and if we would be in Boston until 2am then leave Boston and head into NYC for 530 am...w J P.......so much love!!! Nadia Cassiri!!!! Huh ....beautiful acapellas.....he was my favorite, loved and lived it , so much love and happiness back then!!!! Awww ,if he ever does something again , we will go back!!!! So happy to have found him on KZbin, it's great!!!🥰❤️

Crazy to hear you came down from Boston that’s so awesome. We the locals had no idea. What a ride heading to SF in a 4 hour car drive waiting to drop some bombs and relax. Did you sleep over after that night or drive back all whacked out. No disrespect intended here.

Man oh man I used to love the Halloween Party. Such creativity w the costumes music and dancing. I used to love running into so many different groups of friends. Just pockets of friends from all over. NJ friends, Brooklyn friends , Staten island friends, jersey shore friends. It was a reunion every weekend. The music was the backdrop and what a backdrop it was. Never hurt to have a few good rolls too. Blue and whites or Versace’s or Mitsubishi turbos. Wtf. Now we are old and I guess that was our Woodstock.

I could swear there were nights he played GTI for 5 hours. Every few tracks he'd turn up the volume on the mixer where he had GTI playing on an infinite loop and you'd hear the synth from GTI still playing. It would fuck your head up...you'd ask yourself, either GTI is still playing or I must be tripping my face off" Good times. I almost wish I had a bumpski of K.
