This is one of my favorite country songs. Reminds me of my late mama. I believe she's still cheering me on through life from heaven... A mother's love never dies. For it is eternal! RIP Mama

She was popular in early 2000's. She was really young, maybe 18 or so. She hasn't released anything in a while, as far as I know. Her career never really took off as it should have, considering she has an amazing voice.

Jessica Andrews is a phenomenal singer who had three albums as a teen. She has not done much sense then. But all three of those albums are great. She has a talent that is great to listen to. "Hungry Love" and "Unbreakable Heart" are both a fun listen. Thanks for reacting to this.

This song was the theme song for the TV show Sue Thomas F.B.Eye. I never heard it on the radio. But I heard it all the time on the television. I love this song and this vocalist so much. Sadly, she didn’t do a lot in the industry. Also, the show was pretty great too. I still watch the reruns every now and then.

Jessica Andrews was 15. She came in with LeAnn Rimes and Lila McCann. She just didn't get enough recognition. She's still around but more as a writer. There's not too many by her that are her. Unbreakable Heart is one y'all should hear from her. I love it! As for the theme I think it's about knowing where you came from and knowing who you are. Loved your reaction.
@heathersalsbury36132 жыл бұрын
I think it comes down to everyone has expectations. Some people let that hold them back. Being a woman even now people don’t expect much from you. When I started welding, military, everything was constantly underestimated. Know where you came from but at the end of the day you choose who you are and whether you let them hold you back. “How do you keep you’re feet on the ground when you were born to fly,” “you want a shy little thing, pretty little high heeled thing,” “can’t win for losing you’ll just disappoint them,” “I am young but I am able”. At least that’s where my head went 🤷♀️

For the most part she realeased 3 albums between 1999-2003 when she was really young but they never really received much air time or got much recognition. This was a one hit wonder that kind of blew up and got a lot attention. Like it was on both country and pop stations and was really popular at one point during my childhood. She has tried again to get back in the industry, with an album or 2, I think at the start of 2016, but just like before it's hasn't had much sales.

This was my favorite song was it released in 2000 especially since I was in middle school. It’s so easy to belt out and have fun too hahaha. She was seventeen when this came out. She pretty much stopped singing for big records so she’s just a mom 2 and wife for 12 years now. I hope we’ll get more music out of her especially since she has 20+ years under belt of life cause her pipes are amazing.

VERY nice reaction. Jessica has a lovely voice, Poison's in the Sugar is a good one by her, she was so young when she had the hits, maybe life got in the way of her following through with a career, who knows. All 4 songs pointed out (each made the point differently) how important it is to know who you are to make it through the buffering of life.

Jessica Andrews career didn't take off because of timing and that's why you haven't gotten many requests for her. This was a 2000/2001 hit. After 9/11, popular country music became very patriotic songs by mostly male artists and the amazing female artists of the 1990s vanished. Martina McBride, Faith Hill, Terri Clark, Sara Evans, Gretchen Wilson, etc. Even legends like Reba and Dolly weren't immune. They'd have a rare hit come out but it wasn't often. Female artists like Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift making it big was outside the norm. It's finally starting to shift.
@TimedRevolver2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, Jessica hit the scene during a time when there was a massive influx of amazing talents pouring into country. From like the mid 90's up to the early 2000's, there were so many shockingly talented singers getting left behind because people just couldn't keep up with the constant influx of new talent.

Her label did her dirty, to put it one way. Also Andrews was a product of her time, and just when she was about to break out, she was hit with the double-whammy of a changing radio climate aka less country female on the radio and that whole double standard thing and her record label was no better they were trash, so much so they ain't even in business anymore. ***And that actually still goes on today. Like with Kalie Shorr producers and everyone liked her, except that she was a girl and literally refused to sign her in Nashville. So she ends up going to NY and gets signed to a label out there. She has a song about that called "my voice"🎶Tricks are for kids, take the F bombs out of what you wrote, if you want the radio to play it, but their probably never play me cause I'm not a boy, and guess what I can't change the sound of my voice, so get use to the sound of my voice cos im sticking around🎶 and she also talks about her experience on her podcast if you wanna know more
