best to just drain the coolant. It's so easy to drain off the bottom of the radiator. pop the fill cap to drain faster.

Clean up some of that wiring with zip ties and electrical tape it cleans up the engine bay so much. Also the turbo is sick I love it

At 15:20 where you talk about the allen head bolts...from the angle of the video... they used them because you wouldn't be able to get a wrench on the head of a hex bolt due to the lack of clearance between the head of the bolt and the manifold casting.

Don’t forget to retorque manifold after a bit of driving. DO NOT GO CRAZY ON THROTTLE IF POSSIBLE!!! Let her do her thing. I would retorque after the first drive. Example would be to base them home. Retorque. I took mine on a test run after completing swap. Everything was fantastic. Torque was still good but I just took it around the block. Last Saturday I took it to dallas(1 hour for one way). By the time I got home, I could tell I should have taken the torque wrench with me and torqued it in Dallas. Fun lessons learned on these beasts!!! Thank god for you guys making videos so we can give each other some heads up in advance. Saving$$$$. Looks like there isn’t much difference in the 3rd gen to 4th gen. Just more plugs and an exhaust brake. I am concerned with how close the a/c line is to all the heat. The blanket helps and I did work the pipe a little to see if I could bend it enough to clear some room. I did but I need to go some more with it. Just got to be careful and not put any stress on the firewall connection. Any thoughts on that would be great

I wrap my swivels with electrical tape it helps keep them in the angle you need them rather than just flopping around ;) :)

Try some 2000 degree rust oleum flat black paint it’ll clean that manifold up and exhaust housing up if it continues to get surface rust. Pretty slick man👌🏻

Also you can delete that grid heater. They have a kit for that on that sight. I have it on my truck. No need in it. Hook your block heater in if you have to. But shouldnt if its a healthy engine. In this case yours is just fine

Yea going with 5 inch turbo back straight exhaust, air dog with G&R sump, egr delete, banks cooler and elbow, ccv catch can, cold air intake, MM3 tuner, ball joints, throttle delete.

I had to relocate the grid heater solenoid to the bottom of the battery tray with the source auto kit. Not fun. But done now. EDIT: couldn’t mount it on the side. Because that’s where I mounted the air valve and controller for the turbosmart blow off valve. EDIT #2: need to do the obd2 flip mod. Get the connectors up under the dash

😂 ok, I'm not the only one with orange exhaust manifold and hot side Smeding. I've been looking at the red ceramanic vht high heat coating for the hot and cool side and just black for the exhaust manifold.🤙👌 On the heat gun trick. Your s&b box WONT fit with that block there, it will be in the way of the mounting hole. It's a tight fit but that green wire from from the Alt does run along the top of the tube and the intake tube with have to be flipped around to fit your sensors.

that stupid solenoid thing on the passenger side battery tray is the grid heater solenoid. if you've removed the grid heater, you can remove all the lines and the solenoid. then you're not catching sleeves on those exposed stud terminals when you're trying to change your oil filter or do anything over on that side of the engine bay. pulling it takes all of about 10-15 min, most of which ends up being spent un-routing the power wire from the solenoid to where your grid heater used to be.

Power, more air, better 1:1 ratio for boost and drive pressure. Less chance of lifting the head but still possible without studs. Longevity, fuel mileage if you can keep your foot out of it

Hi bro, I saw your videos and you have done lots of work in your truck. I just bought a truck that's a 2010 ram 2500 6.7 c and it has some mods I don't have a lot of idea of what's wrong with it. Last night I was driving, I was driving 30mph and it started to make a whistle sound and it to violently shake and lots of smoke start. It started to lose power and have a check engine light with a code of p2262. It makes smoke the turbo and the vgt turbo actuator. I don't really have an idea of how to fix it and I would like to hear from you how I could fix it.

U either need to clean your turbo or it needs to get replaced. Actuator went out.

i had to use a 2x4 piece of wood on the return fitting when i tapped it into the block. just make sure u got some oil on them o rings

I was on stock fuel for awhile before 100 percent overs and 10 mil cp3. The .9 housing worked real good for that I thought. Now with the additional fuel I'm thinking at least 1.0 or 1.1 the truck still does decent amount of towing, nothing over 14k usually. Like to keep it spooling as good as possible but would like to turn it on 5 every so often and mess around without egts climbing right away. Anyone have a bigger housing for sale out there? Anyone need a .9 ? Ha

I have efi live with Anarchy Tunes. I just told them I did not to window the Block in my truck so I think they capped me at about 750 at the rear wheels tune 5. Borg 467.7

Some how managed to drop the coolant plug into the oil drain spot so that delayed me a day finding a new one lol. Lesson learned, cover the drain port on the block.

You put an o ring or what you called a "packing" on a j.i.c. fitting.... for future reference those do not take o rings.... they do not take any kind of sealer. The flare or cone shape is what makes it seal. Do no use any kind of Teflon tape or o rings on them.

Yessir the cone shape side I didnt put anything. On the unions going to the oil feed port on the turbo I put one there for protection

Makes it easier to install actually, less weight to deal with, easy access to the oil drain and feed lines. Plus he had his comp housing powder coated. Plus you have to move stuff around to get it lined up properly.
