Yeah, I have watched this as well and got 2 or 3 facts to give out: 1. This was another stooge short to have both Bud Jamison and Vernon Dent (Unofficial stooges) 2. This was the last stooge short to have Harry Semels in 3. When the crew made it to the area where the net is, you can see it is in the air because of the shadow, but then when Vernon Dent goes into the crew in a knocked out sort of way, the net falls due to it being a studio crew member dropping it

All 190 Three Stooges comedies were in the Screen Gems television packages as they were released between 1958 and 1960. A few were slightly edited by Screen Gems while others were custom edited by tv stations in-house editors. None were banned. A television station had the right to simply just not run a certain title, but all were available to stations for broadcast.

I have seen this particular short in syndication…back in the late 60’s. I was in the 4th or 5th grade, and a local (Detroit) UHF station would broadcast these shorts in the late afternoons during the week. I would come home from school, do my homework, watch the stooges, then hang out with my friends until dinner time. They weren’t very PC back in those days, so many of these “controversial” episodes were aired.

Moe Howard had served as a "doughboy" in WWI (the only Stooge to do so). Of all the Stooge company, he knew the most what was at stake in WWII. Regarding Terry the dog, if this is the same canine who had played Toto in "The Wizard of Oz," Columbia (the Stooges' studio) would have had to have borrowed it from MGM (producers of the 1939 technicolor classic). Studios did occasionally "loan" talent out in that era, but it would seem odd for MGM to have loaned a dog to a competitor for short subject.
