Our motor homing adventure takes us
and our two dogs back from Spain into France.
Here we managed another stay over at Flot le Bleu aire in Ondres. We lingered longer as the weather was nice and Luna was rather poorly and we felt it better she rests and does not travel.
We then decided on a short hop up from the lovely long and wide sandy beach at Ondres to Soorts-Hossegar. This place is apparently renowned for its surfing. It also has a rip tide competition in August. However, we didn’t venture to the beach but instead had a walk around the inlet stopping at Capbreton It was roughly a six mile walk but was peaceful and the properties in the surrounding area were all unique and gorgeous.
Another eventful journey back up passed Bordeaux in the rain. As the traffic was so awful we did a quick overnight spot at Val de Vignes. Not much to say about this place, it is a new camping car park aire but is clear some of the locals object to having it as they hoot their horn whilst driving passed at midnight and beyond.
We then headed for Saint Cyr and had a lovely walk around the lake and a peaceful night sleep.
From there (we had wanted to go to Villandry but aire was closed that day) we had an eventful stay close to the Loire. The camping car park there provided us with much entertainment.
We hope you enjoy the video.
