Hi Al... I like that you have the ability to continually narrate your videos, makes it more interesting, especially the "random" thoughts. Nice episode. 😊

Thank you, I’m happy you enjoyed it! My random thoughts while riding are the reason I got myself a microphone in the first place. I just wanted to play them back later on. Funny how it led me to vlogging 😅

Wow!!! ,. I love when you are at random thoughts gear 😂. Your (random) generator is from high quality. Output could be garbage, but no, only intelligent thoughts! This is the perfect 'Beautiful Day". Beautiful woman, beautiful motorcycle, beautiful landscape, beautiful bridges, beautiful thoughts. I love it.❤ Note - unfortunately when I commented on Charly's channel was too late. He had already read the comments.

Ohhh I quite love my random thoughts moments and I’m happy to hear that you enjoy them, too! It’s funny that sometimes I have none and sometimes they just won’t stop, like you said I might just be on that “random thoughts gear” 😄

@alyoka.travels , of course I enjoy! You are an intelligent woman. Almost everything you say makes sense to me. I say almost because I am not so "universal" like you🤣. It is difficult to short comment when there are several, but if I had to choose one, I would choose the beauty perceived as a motorcycle rider. (my English is becoming worse, but I think you understand 😊). By the way , nice how you begin these adventures (Philippines)

Your comment that generally described the case of a short glimpse with sharp focus intensifies a view and increases its impact... so very interesting to hear you associate those ideas. I read an architecture book describing enduring patterns that please, one of which is the 'Zen View'. I didn't quote you verbatim, but think I got the idea you shared, and the book basically makes the same point. I've often wondered if that's really true - I suspect that it is, but it's so counter intuitive. Thanks for sharing, as always. Seeing your attack the twisties reminds me of your ride with the coach. So fun to see you enjoying the ride - on and off road. I look forward to seeing and hearing more about your adventures!
@alyoka.travelsАй бұрын
Oh wow! I was just sharing a random thought, had no idea that there were some studies on the topic. Now you got me interested! Do you remember the name of the book?
@MichaelKapsnerАй бұрын
@@alyoka.travels I think that's what struck me - perhaps it's not such a 'random thought' after all? It seems random, but when many other people have that same thought it points to there being a more fundamental 'language' at play. I was introduced to the idea that the book existed some time ago, but for one reason or another never quite got to buying a copy until years later. When I finally read it I immediately understood why the (very) old cities (at least in Europe) are so attractive to me - because they often incorporate many of these patterns. The book was different than I expected - each pattern is really it's own little stand-alone book of a few pages cross referenced to other related patterns, so you don't necessarily read it start to finish. There are three broad sections: one for city planning, one for buildings, and another for construction methods. It's not a hands-on how-to-build guide but deals with the broader ideas of building, many that resonate. Anyway, rambling on here. The title is "A Pattern Language: Towns, Buildings, Construction (Center for Environmental Structure Series)" by Alexander, Ishikawa, and Silverstein. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Pattern_Language
@MichaelKapsnerАй бұрын
@@alyoka.travels oh, Zen View is just one of ~250 patterns, as you see the topic of the book is not exactly adventure motorcycling, but apparently there is overlap! ; -).

I like that you mention it, I was thinking about this whole random thought process and it just seems so weird to me. It mostly happens when riding, but not every time I ride. But sometimes when it does happen, it just won’t stop, these thoughts keep coming, as if I was just riding through a “random thoughts pool” 😄 some kind of connection to a super-mind?
@MichaelKapsnerАй бұрын
@@alyoka.travels Hey, random thought pool, great idea... like the fog forming in a valley? Or a thermal layer in a lake? Or maybe the old timers imagined that space was filled with aether were on to something? Riding along and you hit one of these pools, after breathing this random thought saturated aether they just start bubbling out! LoL. What a fun thought, thanks for not just 'posting and forgetting', love the interaction.

Awesome video! You know it's funny but yesterday I got some new clients from Bogata. At the end I was telling them that I was following you on KZbin. She was explaining to me about the food you enjoyed. They also recommended a restaurant here in town. I can't wait to try that. Coincidence or universe ? Sweetest couple. They even invited me to visit in Bogata. The kindness of people. Good riding today. But I don't like bridges. Maybe I should follow your lead and look forward to crossing them ? You are very beautiful and have a wonderful personality. Best!

It really was an interesting "Day of Bridges." In English idiom "2-track". A single track path is (you guessed it) "single-track". And yes, you AND your bike are beautiful.
@alyoka.travels2 ай бұрын
A “day of bridges” is a “2-track”? 🤔
@RYwoodview2 ай бұрын
@@alyoka.travels Sorry. A double rutted road (from 4 wheel vehicles) is called a "2-track". "Day of Bridges" is your special contribution to our vocabulary!
@alyoka.travelsАй бұрын
Ahhh 😁 I’d think that any kind of road with two tracks for wheels would be called a 2-track, let’s say a trail in the woods with 2 clear soil tracks and grass in the middle. In Colombia, “placa huella” (direct translation “plate footprint” I guess) is a specific name for this type of 2-track, quite often it’s used to strengthen and secure the most challenging or unstable (steep, muddy, rocky) part of a 2-track. Now how’s that in English? ☺️
@RYwoodviewАй бұрын
@@alyoka.travels Yes, indeed. "Placa"--gracias por aumentar mi vocabulario en Espanol.
