Kansas finally welcomes the dark side! Watch the Night Crew team venture to uncharted territory for both them and the locals. Night hunting is now legal in the state of Kansas and is a welcome sight for many Kansas hunters. It'll be interesting to see just how the local coyotes respond to a Texas made light. Will they commit and close the distance or will they take a minute to think it over? Find out on this out of town special episode of Night Crew.

One thing about night crew they are always doing what's right. They don't B S you on products they simply give you facts. These guys I trust 100%.Sponsored by wicked lights and flat out tell you if you are in wide open terrain lights are not your best option which I totally agree that's where Thermal shines. Most people today bow down to they're sponsors and kiss their ass but in my opinion if the sponsors are half way decent they would be proud that there are guys being 100% honest about their products even if that means disregarding it. We need more guys like this, its what makes us all better as a whole. Thanks Night Crew P.S. I'm not downing Wicked lights and neither are night crew so don't put words in my mouth keyboard cop's. I own many Wicked products and they are top notch!

You hit the nail on the head Brett. We care more about the truth and helping people with good advice than we do selling a product. We've always been that way from day one and refuse to cave just to make an extra buck. Every partner we currently have understands where we stand on situations just like the one you mentioned on this show. The truth will always be the truth. Thats why we only partner with companies that make products we actually use so we don't have to sell you something we don't. Thanks for watching. Chris

I love the sound of that "sploop!" as the bullet hits them too! PLEASE Chris, come to Kentucky sometime and get them to change our night hunting predator rules here too! We can't hunt with rifles at night here at all except for .22LR for raccoons. And I too have always had the big problems with yotes circling for wind around me too! Great video!

Love the new episode as always. I'm up in Missouri and just the beginning of 2021 we added a season for night hunting coyotes. I picked up a pulsar thermion 2 xp50 this fall, After being unsuccessful last year with lights only. Would love to see an episode made in Missouri.

Hello my friend. As a viewer who has just discovered his channel from Turkey; I loved how you blended the shooting quality, narration synchronization and shooting skills with your equipment. I'm mad at myself for not discovering this channel earlier. I am so glad to have found you. I will learn a lot from you in my spare time. One thing caught my attention is that your trigger discipline just before the shot is very good. stay well.

Hunters are very attuned to trigger and muzzle discipline. I see one stupid move from a shooting companion and they are OUT. And I will not go to a public range. I'd be screaming my head off all the time..

We night hunted coyotes in 2021 in KS. We used white lights like you made seem an option. We had limited success but it was quite enjoyable if not cold too. I purchased an IR night vision scope for this year and built a dedicated AR-15 pistol in .223 Rem. I can't justify in my mind $3000-$5000 for a thermal scope that we can only use 3 months of the year. If it is opened for most of the year, I will get one.

Another great video. I agree more states need to be willing to change the laws for us Law Abiding Citizens. Here in CORRUPT Illinois you can only hunt at night from November to March if I'm not mistaken. Since they are against our 2nd Amendment they will not allow suppressors. As you stated they are afraid of what the bad guys would do instead of what Law Abiding Citizens would do. Keep up the great work and great videos.

@@tonyscalabrini6599 yeah we do pretty good. The public land hunting is a bit slow, but you can still make a decent night out of it if you can get to uncalled coyotes. Hardest part about it is getting through the cold. It was -10 where we hunted last night.

Damn.... Didn't realize it was that cold. Should be good and furred up then. I'm wanting to make a run up there to CO and mainly target cats. Ours are rabbit backed so wanting to get one that's not spotted. Got 5 last season, 2 so far this season but fur isn't great. I try to kill coyotes for the deer and cats for myself.

I see commercialized coyote hunting coming. Where the average hunter like me and others I know, who will who probably never spend $6000 on a thermal (or wait until china comes out with their version for a $1000) get shut off hunting because the land we had permission on will all be leased up. So all the daytime hunters enjoy while you can because you can see the commercialized nighttime thermal hunting trips gonna cost an arm and a leg. Something gotta pay for the guide, lease, fuel, ammo, guns and those high dollar thermal Scopes. Then when the coyote population is under control and way low, you have to hire the pied Piper to come in to play his flute to clear all the rodents off your farm. Lol

Even though NY state has it's quirks, we do have a six month predator season, with the use of dogs, night vision and thermal. Why did it take so long for Kansas to get their act together ? Good Luck.
@nohandle257

Kansans are a different breed cat. I are one. Kansas took so long to wake up to night hunting and especially predator hunting just because that's what Texans do. %^)) Old memories die hard and Kansans haven't quite forgiven Texas for Abiline and the old cowboy days of shootin up the town. That and the Civil War.

Gotta ask, what is the point of the light if you have the thermal? I hunt with a thermal and would never see the point in the light as I can see more through my optic than I could with any sort of visible light.
@nightcrew3115
@nightcrew3115 2 жыл бұрын
Good question. Thermal is a game changer in almost every aspect but there are some experiences a light will give you when you get one committed and coming your way that thermal can’t. It’s just a completely different experience all together. All still completely killable with thermal, but it’s more of a preference of which you want to see or use at the time for us. Certain situations in certain places like we described on this show a light won’t help you but there are situations in Texas where a light is a very powerful tool in certain scenarios. Until you have a coyote or bobcat standing there 20 yards away lit up like a Christmas tree with no clue you’re there it’s hard to understand. That’s the “experience” I’m talking about that we can’t get blacked out with thermal. We still have a blast going totally dark though too ...

Last time i checked it was around 40 states or so. Some allowed lights and or night vision/thermal, some didn't. The rules varied from state to state but the more states that come around to opening things up for night hunters, the more that should follow suit down the road hopefully.
