If you still care, there is an extremely small chance that a chao is born with tired/happy/angry eyes. As far as I know, it has nothing to do with genes or how you hatch the egg, unless chao world extended changes this. So, you could drop 2 heart fruits, then leave to save the game. If you don't get the result you want, quit without saving to retry. The less frustrating method is to wait until a dark chao reincarnates. Even as a baby, it'll "remember" its angry eyes.
