@ yeah brotha I’m swapping a 2.8t into my 2006 Cadillac STS which originally had the 3.6 and is RWD. Engine bolted directly in with my oem RWD mounts and mates perfectly to my trans. Now I just have to actually build it😎 I’m just starting to get everything set up to be able to complete this project but it’s also snowy and freezing where I’m at so I have been pretty slow recently. I’m 100% starting the build within the next couple weeks tho and I’m very very excited.

What intervals are you using? What rods and pistons?
@RyanHar-r9v3 күн бұрын
@ probably going to get some forged 3.6 rods along with the 3.6 crank and for sure the wössner pistons. Your 3.2 build was the one that inspired me to take on that project so that’s probably what I’m going to do to start. I honestly would’ve done the full 3.6 build but I like how thick the 2.8 cylinder walls are
@Edson-Pouchie3 күн бұрын
@@RyanHar-r9vI agree with you here. The thicker cylinder will battle flex which is something I may fight with in this setup

Fire video 🔥 I wonder if it would be possible to shorten up the intake manifold a bit? i think it will flow nicely, but its just so long to fit in the engine bay. A little fab work for a couple inches less could make all the difference in space.
@Edson-Pouchie3 күн бұрын
@@SolvingSaab that’s the thought or maybe get rid of the 45 on the runner and make it straight- I hear the g8 manifold will mock up better
@SolvingSaab3 күн бұрын
@Edson-pouchie Good thinking. Might be a good idea testing flow on both units before spending money on the fabrication. Either finding data or doing some sort of test to prove it flows better. Although one would assume the 3.6 should flow better because its a bigger engine requiring more air, the reality is it isnt always boosted like the 2.8s as far as i know. Maybe im overthinking it 🤣

In some future videos can you share some tips to check for low oil pressure in these? I have a 2010 Camaro 3.6 sitting in my garage and I did everything trying to find where the oil pressure was leaking out and couldn’t. I put a brand new crankshaft and rod bearings.
