I had a 1965 triple carb version in the UK ... this took me back a bit! The good old days when makers produced a variety of body shapes instead of standardised wind tunnel approved clones of each other !

I had a 95 v4 a few years back and regret selling it now. Will definitely have another one one day, would love a 2 stroke. I agree, modern stuff is just so generic and boring to me. I currently own a 9-5 aero which is a great car but I still miss the old v4.

Nah, the 2 stroke is a straight three cylinder engine.

The Bishop I've literally seen the inside one of these engines.. :| You also have freaking Wikipedia. Literally take you 3 min to find out. Look at the Model 93 up until the 96.. Only 2 or 3 cylinder engines. Then they had the V4 beside that. It was a 4 stroke and an optional choice on most models before they quit making the 2 stroke engines.

Sorry, I didn't mean to reply to your post but to the original question about the V4 engine. Yes, I know and am intimately familiar with the 2-stroke inline 3-cylinder engine: I owned 2 of them, a '63 and a '67. And I also have seen the inside, the outside, and every side imaginable of the 3-cylinder, 2-stroke engines with no need for Wikipedia. But the question by abbaby555 was about the V4 engine, which was (obviously) a V4 and also a 4-stroke, and which I never owned an example of. I mistakenly addressed my response to you instead of to abbaby555, and I apologize for the mixup. I'm not sure why you posted your original statement about the 3-cylinder, 2-stroke engine though, as the question was about the V4!

Jag gillar ju inte Saab för att de vi har haft har nästan haft motorhaveri av någon anledning, men att hata Saab för att de gick i konkurs ska man ju inte göra dock. Deras nya modell skulle släppas, som var skitsnygg, men den kom aldrig tyvärr, det var en ny 93'a

Good one! For those that don't savvy the lingo, "Bra film" means good video... Although, that being said, I wouldn't mind watching a video about bras, or what fills them, more accurately. This was en veldig bra film, looks like all involved were having a blast- I wish I could have been there! Love SAABs, love two-stroke engines, rallying, and winter driving- put them all together and you've got a good time! Couldn't see who was using studded tires, but not sure they're needed here; half the fun is getting sideways! Takk for filmen!
