Great advice thanks, I run a 99 saab 95 wagon eco boost petrol, it's a great car but it's thirsty any ideas as to what mpg I should be getting?

Thanks for watching! Is it the 2.3 litre 170 hp engine you have? The mpg's depends on the driving style ofcourse. Do you mean easy highway miles? A tune (stage1) might give you better fueleconomy if you can resist those extra hp's ;-) BR SaabCars

few people I know tried to lower the consumption, since car was more thirsty than in was when newer. so they replaced exhaust gas sensor (lambda sond) and and also MAF (mass airflow sensor) that have better readings to the ECU than old ones (20 years old car...). Some even replaced spark plugs sooner (be sure you have the right model of NGKs for your engine) and some also replaced DI casette for new, keeping old one as a spare if anything happens in future (not chinese one, SEM Amal Sweden, original). Replacing all those and resetting ECU by unplugging battery for more than 15 minutes set the car to adjust to new clear readings from sensors (DI casette is also a sesor = ionization sensor of quality of burning cycle) and car had more power while also burning less fuel.

I myself also got stg1 tune (Hirsch), going from 170 to 220hp and it takes more fuel, since I really use those additional hp :-P

Great feedback there Peter, on what can be done to improve the consumption. Those are good things to invest in. Parts need to be fresh for using all the SAAB power ;-) I replaced the DI casette at 140'000km. I'm now at 251xxxkm. In the Tech2 misfires can be shown and if there are alot of them it might be a good idea to throw in a new DI casette and a set of new spark plugs. BR SaabCars

I know people using that button to find the car in the crowded or underground parking lot when they can't see it :D

That's a very good use case for keeping it on :-) BR SaabCars

Are you able to desable all alarms of a 2005 9.3 Saab with GM tech 2 ? My alarm goes on randomly and i just want to desable it, it will really help me if i could close my doors again. Thanks for answer and sorry for my english.

You can reprogram the car without alarm. But have you looked for the actual problem? Is it the siren or maybe the doorlocks?
@jeanjean55375 жыл бұрын
@@TechCars I dont know the exact problem, but it seems it is coming from a door, but not sure and the car is already 300 000km so i dont want to pay a lot for this car. It is the horn and not the Siren. But thank you for the answer, i'll try to find a mechanic who have the GM tech 2 and disable the alarm.
