I bought a 2016 ATS coupe awd 2.0t BASE model. i love it and couldn’t be happier with the price. 8speed trans was introduced in 2016 models. i went with the 2.0t because the power performance was about the same as the 3.6. however... it is lighter, better handling, faster stopping and less forward pitching under braking. something the “moar displacement” people don’t get. 2.0t is true 50/50 weight balance. the handling is nimble and very satisfying. a simple stage 1 upgrade (downpipe and ecu tune) will put my car well above what i need in a daily driver. anything more than that and its a waist of money and effort. yes i test drove the 3.6 coupe. this car is a slim and pretty yoga breath, not a mouth breathing obnoxious drag stripper...

I also had the Exhaust Tips Changed to Rectangular Tips..Cost $100 ..Also Bought a After Market Upgrade Chip for my CUE system increased the Response time to less than 1/2 second.. Cost $75.. I use Dryer Sheets Under the Front seats as a Air Freshner,,Cost? $1 for 40 sheets , last 3 yrs ( changing them once a Month ) , keep the extra's in a ZipLock bag.. under drivers seat..Belon gto a Car Wash Club( Cost $30 a month) for unlimited Drive thru hands Free CW's.. Never use brush type CW's.. Add using Spray Wax to Glass and Hood after CW.. Don't have to hand rub , just spray on and leave it..

In 1981, I bought my wife a 1978 Cadillac Seville Elegante in near new condition with 4,900 miles. The car exemplified American auomotive luxury, sophistication and craftsmanship. Today's modern Cadillacs look like every other car out there and (mostly made of plastic). Below is copied from Google AI: The 1978 Cadillac Seville Elegante had a base MSRP of $14,267, plus a $2,600 (Elegante) package that brought the total price to $16,867. In 2024 dollars, that's about $81,980.

Too each his or her own but I sat in the ATS and test driven it and loved it. You must of sat in the base 2.5 4 cylinder model where most of it is leatherette including the seats. I thought the interior of the base model was high quality inspite of leatherette and premium plastics.

+HeroofSomething Cylinder Deactivation. Luxury cars should be available with I-4, V6, and V8. You have the extra weight of Luxury components. My 1999 Cadillac STS weighs 4,000 pounds, but has a 4.6L V8, which Disables fuel injectors while coasting, taking the MPG up to 64. I wouldn't want to spend $50,000 for a 190 HP 4 Cylinder that would get beat by a Prius.
