2009 Scion XB Start Up, Engine, and In Depth Tour

In this video I give a full in depth tour of a 2009 Scion XB. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

Yes it is too much plastic, cheap import, center cluster gauges, too boxy, but One thing everyone has missed out about this car is that for the price this car will outlast all those cool cars you might think are better... Remember that ugly corolla or camry from the 90's... Well most of them are still running, this car is made the same way as far as engine, trans and suspension in Japan. For the buck this is the best car to take you from point a to point b.

Same engine as the mid sized Camry despite being a compact car. Box shape not great for aerodynamics but great for rear head room. Coupe style roof that's so common really reduces rear head room.

My mom has the '09 xb 5 speed manual. Its pretty sick. It surprisingly has good pick up to. I can agree on the stock stereo lol it's pretty good.

I drive an '08 for work putting about 1,500-1,700 miles on it a month and it's a great car. It's got some nice pep and is always fun to drive. The stock stereo is killer and has an ipod hookup. I know this is something easily upgraded, but since it's a company car I can't do that so those being stock features makes time on the road great. It doesn't feel cheap, the center located gauges don't bother me, lots of places to put stuff (phone, drinks ect). I'd really like to try a 5-speed manual.

My mother owns a 2006 model with manual transmission. I'm using it to learn how to drive manual. It only has about 79,000 miles on it, my mother is the original owner. She got it back in January 2007. My mom doesn't drive a whole lot. My dad's car has 75,000 miles on it and it's a 2010 Hyundai Elantra Touring bought new in January 2011.

It's actually pretty good car. My mom drives it everyday and it has had no serious mechanical problems. The gauges are barely even in the middle and it doesn't bother you while you're inside the car. But someone that's never driven one wouldn't know that.

@paintedbird I agree with you on that statement. It might be great in certain areas, such as the audio system pointed out, but the styling is definitely not for everyone. My personal opinion (and its just a humble one) is that the outside styling is pretty average and mediocre, and I personally think the Honda Element even looks better than this. The interior is pretty Spartan looking and has a more industrial-truck look to me.

It's actually a very smart move for the company, it's much cheaper to just switch the steering wheel around for LHD and RHD markets. It does look bad, I have to agree. Not stupid, though.

@rml695 Most cars don't have one if it's the full liftgate. If they did that, it'd be a power liftgate, and of course, that's too easy and simple for the manufacturers. :(
