Personally, I don't care what anyone says, I love this car. I think it's good looking, well equipped, has loads of personality, and is still quite practical. People may say it's too big to be a Mini, but to keep things in perspective, it's still about 4 inches shorter than a VW Golf. It's a very small car but has a surprisingly spacious interior.

Awesome tour of the car! I've been thinking about either getting a Mini Cooper Countryman or a Dodge Charger, and I'm not gonna lie, as cool as a Charger would be.... This video sold me on the Mini. This was a great, in-depth tour, and showed me all the great features of the car as well as how much space is in the back. I need space for subwoofers, which will definitely fit in the compartment in the back, and I need room for lots of guitar gear. I wasn't sure if all that stuff would be able to fit until I watched this video. Thanks for showing everything the car has to offer!

If you do a little research on some of the MINI forums (NAM, for example) you will learn that these models have tons of first-year problems. Thermostats that shut down the engine (and MINI is replacing them with the same, crappy parts, so many have had their thermostat replaced 3 or 4 times), chrome that peels off outside and constant yellow engine warnings. If interested in a Countryman, I would wait another year for them to iron out the kinks.

@mininick0001 ... yes, BMW bought the original British brand in the 1990s where the original Mini was still made up until 2000. The new (BMW) Mini has been around since 2001. They are still made in Britain.

@techdude6693 Yeah on a BMW or Mini without the keyless option, you still have to dig out they key fob to unlock and start the car but on cars with it you can of course unlock the car without pressing the key and you shouldn't have to insert the key fob to start it unless you just want to. That's how my friends 3 series convertible works. He never has to dig out the key to do anything.

joel b The maintenance needed is very low and can cost a lot of money, however, if you go to your local Mini dealer when you first buy the car you can get a maintenance plan that cost around $4000 and covers EVERTHING (suspension, brake pads, oil changes, etc.) for about 5 - 6 years after your manufacturer warranty ends. So if you do get one I would look into that :)

I don't get BMW/Mini's Keyless entry thing.. I mean the point of it is so you don't need to take the key fob out or your pocket or purse. You can enter without the key, but you need to put in the fob to start it. Why can't they just make it like it is on Nissan, Mazda, etc..
