They should make it clear with these suspicious behaviours. In europe where I live many people consider the salafies connected to terrorism and ISis. They should make their thoughts clear and explain it publicly so that they don't seem so dangerous or suspicious in the world. I think the problem with most of us 'Salafis' (I think it's better to avoid such denominations) is that we sometimes start taking pride in that we are on the right path. I feel that most of the time and I pray to Allah for forgiveness for taking such pride knowingly or unknowingly. Also it's impossible to know if we are on the right path or doing the right things in the same way Prophet did with 100% certainty. So such pride and sometimes showing off should be avoided and Allah 's forgiveness must be seeked.

Now what do you do if the term Salafi gets away from authenticity? Are you then super Salafi? This is the problem with labels. And sadly many who claim Salafi quote scholars more than Qur'an and Rasoolulah, Salah Allahu alahiwasalam. They can quote so and so and when you ask them a ayah of Qur'an they don't know. Allah calls/named us MUSLIM in Qur'an. And Allah says He will leave you in your schisms. Muslim is enough for me because Allah named me this. That is a stronger term than the few maybe couple sources we have to justify calling us anything else. And in our grave the angels will be asking what is our religion not if we are Salafi. Lastly, Salafi to most people now refers to a group of people who judge one another and refute each other and not much else. Sad. May Allah guide us ameen. And thank you much for addressing this because it needs to be addressed. I've been Muslim all my life and one thing I can say is this seems to be more of a matter for reverts. So many are lost in the details and miss the main objective.

Its easier to call your self Muslim, than it is to be a Muslim, you call your self a Muslim when you meet non Muslims, but when you label your self Sunni, sallafi, or Sufi, you know the right scholars to read from and to listen to, apart from the holy Qur'an, remember calling your self a sallafi dies not mean you are holy and always in the straight part, but at least you know the caliber of books and writers to read from, it just like calling your self an American, when you are in America, you state the state from which you hail from, plus your race, your faith and perhaps your family background!

Salam Alaikum Brother, I actually got on here because I'm seeing that there is an opposite problem widespread in the USA and UK. I saw that you also shared a video about 'how to find a reliable scholar?' which is a constant question amongst reverts here. I find that, yes, we should Identify ourselves as muslims first and foremost...and when there comes a question about aqeedah, yes, we should call ourseves Sunni or Identify ourselves as having creedal differences, as these largely play a part in the core belief of Islam. My husband lightens these conversation by calling himself 'Muhammadi' which he uses to break tension in conversations with other msulims, as in, 'I follow the messenger, swa, and whatever he does that we know to be authentic...' not ascribing to any one school of thought, he always looks for evidence before believing something to be true. May Allah keep us all on the straight path. I sifted through your videos to look for one about 'Sufism' because, largely, I am worried that this is flying stealthily under the radar of many here in the west. Sufis are not calling themselves sufis anymore, and when I approach them as to why they aren't open about it, they'll say...we don't call ourselves that...we are just Muslim. Can you speak to this or have any experience? I couldn't find a video on your channel about it. Subehanallah, the more online webinar culture has impacted us, the more large-spread secret suffism has become. I would love to hear your thoughts and I find that these particular organizations below are interconnected with eachother, preaching motivational and educational praise of eachother, using fabricated or weak hadeeths for modivational purposes...and barely a single website of theirs are open about their Aqeeda practices. I can finally start to understand the key words and scholarship that link to sufi Islam so that I can stay away, but to the average muslim, their impact on media is largely influencial while attendees and followers (especially reverts and cultural muslims) are unaware... www.rabata.org/ zaytuna.edu/ www.safinasociety.org/ www.meccacenter.com/ ***Biggest influenecer during this time of Covid*** celebratemercy.com/ www.imamghazali.org/ ***I don't know much about this book, but I fear it's influence of the commentary*** www.theshamail.co.uk/ Translator: facebook.com/Ibriz-Media-351464174973064/?ref=page_internal This is my humble research over the years, and if I had called out anyone incorrectly, may Allah forgive me. I am not calling any one person a Sufi, as we can only truly know if they calim themselves to be, but these are the influencers who I suspect to have sufi links. And I think the problem here is that none come to claim their ideology up front, like any other scholar of Islam would be open and willing to do. And allah knows best. Can you do a video about this or recomend another student to speak on it? And May Allah untie our tongues, grant us the knowledge and deliver the truth.

I am really sorry to tell you, but Salafism is a deviant sect. If you dont want your akhirah to be destroyed then read on and I will prove to you that Salafism is fitna within Islam that is eating Islam from within. Remember the famous Hadith about Najd?? Read on.. 1. "Narrated Ibn `Umar: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Sham! O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Yemen." The People said, "And also on our Najd." He said, "O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Sham (north)! O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Yemen." The people said, "O Allah's Apostle! And also on our Najd." I think the third time the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "There (in Najd) is the place of earthquakes and afflictions and from there comes out the side of the head of Satan."" : sunnah.com/bukhari:7094 Now the interesting part here is that the Sahabah who said: "And also on our Najd." were Sahabah from the Najd area of Arabia at that time. Reason is that though many of todays "neo salafis" claim it's najd of Iraq, Iraq was not even Muslim country at that time ,so the Sahabah was from Najd of Arabia. To back this point up you need to look at Hadith about Miqat points for Haj, and it is clearly mentioned that Iraq was not Muslim at that time,so there were no Sahabah from Iraq asking for blessing for their " iraq najd"(as claimed by neo salafis) , but they were asking for blessing for the Najd of Arabia. Narrated `Abdullah bin Dinar: Ibn `Umar said, "The Prophet (ﷺ) fixed Qarn as the Miqat (for assuming the Ihram) for the people of Najd, and Al-Juhfa for the people of Sham, and Dhul-Hulaifa for the people of Medina." Ibn `Umar added, "I heard this from the Prophet, and I have been informed that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'The Miqat for the Yemenites is Yalamlam.' "When Iraq was mentioned, he said, "At that time it was not a Muslim country." sunnah.com/bukhari:7344 2. Imam Bukhari even wrote a whole chapter called : "(16)Chapter: “Al-Fitnah will appear from the EAST.” : sunnah.com/bukhari/92 Several Hadith mentions that the fitna will appear from the EAST. Only Najd of Arabia lies to the East of Medina ( Hijaz) : Narrated Salim's father: The Prophet (ﷺ) stood up beside the pulpit (and pointed with his finger towards the East) and said, "Afflictions are there! Afflictions are there, from where the side of the head of Satan comes out," or said, "..the side of the sun.."sunnah.com/bukhari:7092 Narrated Ibn `Umar: I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) while he was facing the East, saying, "Verily! Afflictions are there, from where the side of the head of Satan comes out." sunnah.com/bukhari:7093 Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) said: "Faith is Yemeni, and disbelief is from the direction of the EAST. Tranquility is for the people of sheep, and wickedness and Riya is in those who boast among the people of horses and the people of camels....sunnah.com/tirmidhi:2243 Now tell me who in the EAST boast among the people of horses and the people of camels? People from Najd in arabia! 3. In the first Hadith mentioned above قَرْنُ الشَّيْطَانِ ". " ( QARN-usheitan ) is mentioned. Interestingly Syyedina Mohammed (pbuh) said that Miqat point for Najd in Saudi is QARN : Narrated Salim bin `Abdullah from his father: I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, "The Miqat for the people of Medina is Dhul-Hulaifa; for the people of Sham is Mahita; (i.e. Al-Juhfa); and for the people of Najd is QARN. And said Ibn `Umar, "They claim, but I did not hear personally, that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The Miqat for the people of Yemen is Yalamlam." sunnah.com/bukhari:1528 4. Now look at this google map. Najd of Saud lies to EAST of Madinah, and Iraq is NORTH-EAST : aalequtub.files.wordpress.com/2019/12/13912697_1218930288140440_5976180288688380779_n.jpg Conclusion: The Hadith of Najd speaks about Najd of Arabia and none other Najd anywhere else.So anyone who wants to save their akhirah,should repent from wahabism and come over to Sufism and join true Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamah aqeedah: www.ahlus-sunna.com Other wise you all in big trouble in Akhirah. The only true Salaf was the first 3 generations.

No need to call yourself a Sunni or Shia and then even further a salafi or a hanafi or anything else. That's not how Islam was given to us. We have the easiest path, these different names and groups are what takes us out of the fold of Islam.

I strongly disagree with labeling our selfs when it comes to Islam. A Muslim is a Muslim. A Muslim is the one who strive to follow what pleases Allah swt. A sincere Muslim will always strive to validate any information when it comes to the dean of Allah. often we get so caught up in our teachers and those who came before us, may Allah reward them all for their efforts, we follow them blindly and we start to think of them as exempt from mistakes. Yes we follow السلف الصالح but there is no need to add any label to the name Allah gave us. when you tie yourself with a group it often sends a message to other striving Muslims as they’re outsiders or less than. Many, when given the proof, still deny the truth, and follow what their tribe was upon and remain upon, for example, celebrating the prophet's birthday, worshipping the graves, entertaining musical instruments besides the Duff, and praying to saints. Rasoolullaah and his companions did not contributed to those practices, yet people will debate against the authentic text, or follow the unclear of the text, adding opinions. This is the exact concern I had, thank you for mentioning it, it is why I am so apprehensive of calling myself a salafi, and I also feel like I dont have enough knowledge on the history and development of 'salafiyyah' as a movement and what it has become, I observe some people may take it as focussing on saudi scholars, to the extent that I dont know any recent scholars except saudi ones because the other scholars across the world are not as shown, Im not discrediting the scholars of saudi arabia they have contributed great stuff to the ummah but navigating through all of this is very confusing, may Allah guide us all and make our intentions pure, ameen.

The people that claim/understand salafiyyah as litterally *being* contemporary Saudi scholars or extremists. Or the people that say "salafiyyah" is misguidance and to path to Hellfire. Please remain calm, seek Allah, keep your intention pure, and ask Allah to guide you to the Truth. Read/understand the Quran and Hadith plentiful. Salafiyyah is really just clinging to the way of the 3 favoured generations, and following their interpretation of the Holy Texts. They can be from any country and time. But I really recommend Khalid Greens channel, he really explains the people that misuse salafiyyah from all sides, and he clarifies it beautifully. May Allah keep us upon The Straight Path ♡

Assalamoualaikum bro. I am from Mauritius and consider myself to be salafi. I found that there is a group called Huda Wan Noor in my country who are daees and have studied from University of Madina just like you. I follow what they teach of the truth. You know that even a salafi is not perfect. As for harshness even the Prophet sometimes was hard with some of his companions. Our salaf were hard with ahlul bidah. I think that you exagerate when you say that a salafi does not study and not know tawheed and not know his priorities. Though you may not mean it, you may be contributing in pushing away people from salafiyyah, so please show to the people the goodness in the only one saved group who are warning against ahlul bidah with sure knowledge under the guidance of the great scholars. It is false to say that refutation is given more importance than tawheed. Just count the number of lessons/lectures are given in aqeedah and the number of such in refutation! May Allah guide you and me!

I still respect(Saajid Lipham) the content to help Muslims/Muslimate about the current issues of our time. The disagreement i have with this vid is that he's either not aware or isn't well versed about any of this in the vid. Salafiyya/Salafism is 19th Century term, it's a counter-reaction to Western European Colonialism. the intentions r clear as water BUT the details to these views in Salafiyya r NOT well thought-out. It ignores Historical events Islam has been fighting Jahiliyyah throughout Human records. Salaf or al-salaf al-ṣāliḥ is WHAT OUR UMMAH refers to few Generations WHO embody clearness of Islam: Prophet Muhammad(PBUH), The Sahabas, Tabi'un, Tabi' al-Tabi'in. This isnt a SECT. it's referring to BEST of our Ummah like how we cal ourselves Boomers, Millennials, Zoomer. Salaf is referring to Generations of Early Muslims/Muslimate. I hope my criticism is understood to be beneficial for Saajid & viewers of this Ummah. We need to end the cycling of same issues why any Muslim disagrees each other start looking our place in this Dunya with known information why know about from Quran Sunnat, Ijma of Islamic scholars from the Salaf, & Contemporary Urf we are certain about; that Islam leads us to know in this creation called Dunya(temporal world).

Brother, I admire salafiyya because they are 1:1 on the teaching. and mainstream people seems to be pretty sensitive about getting corrected aka 'refuted' if you do mind the term. there are things that are needed to be corrected, clear cut yes. and they know the sources and how to track it. I value the salaf as the movement of preserving the metodology of the deen because bro let's face it, the modern ummah are sticking to the westernized cultures and tend to 'watering down' the foundations to please some people or to get people into Islam, that is dangerous and bringing doubts and complications. so who are most likely able to rectify the teaching? salafis imo
@aquatranquility76662 жыл бұрын
Andhika Wibianto, Sorry to tell you, but Salafism is a deviant sect. Many people of you are ignorant of the dangers of todays Salafism is. Najd of Saud lies to EAST of Madinah, and Iraq is NORTH-EAST : aalequtub.files.wordpress.com/2019/12/13912697_1218930288140440_5976180288688380779_n.jpg Conclusion: The Hadith of Najd speaks about Najd of Arabia and none other Najd anywhere else.So anyone who wants to save their akhirah,should repent from wahabism and come over to Sufism and join true Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamah aqeedah: www.ahlus-sunna.com Other wise you all in big trouble in Akhirah..

I've heard so many brothers speak about Salafies who are harsh and ilmannered and not being knowledgeable. Of course this type of condition needs rectification for sure. The question is are you salafy and the answer should have been a clear cut yes or no, and then an explanation if you wanted.
@Ibrahim1643 жыл бұрын
Your question shows black-and-white thinking. Given that the vast majority of people who call themselves Salafis tend to be just arrogant, narrow-minded, argumentative people who go around causing trouble for the Muslims, I would say that brother Saajid is definitely NOT one of those people. And yet at the same time, he was educated in Saudi Arabia by teachers who even the most narrow-minded, arrogant so-called “Salafis” would regard as Salafi, so does that make brother Saajid a Salafi or not? This is why there can never be a simple, clear-cut black-and-white answer to the question as to whether brother Saajid is a Salafi or not. It really depends on what you mean by the term “Salafi”. As to your other implicit question about whether these arrogant, narrow-minded argumentative so-called “Salafis” can ever become decent human beings - in my experience, they can. However, for this to happen, they first need to have all the arrogance beaten out of them through adverse life circumstances. Those whom Allah guides can be guided, and Allah will allow to remain astray those of us who prefer to remain astray. And then unto Him we will be returned. Some of us will get thrown into Hell for our arrogance and our failure to follow the religion of Islam, even though we claimed to be “Salafis”. Others of us will get admitted into Paradise, even though we never claimed to be anything other than Muslim. May Allah purify us from our arrogance, if we are open to being purified, and may He enable us to die as Muslims. _(Ameen)._

Let me clear out that a salafi person is who follows the authentic teachings of prophet Mohammed PBUH and I don’t know how did u even associate salafi with a person going around making troubles That’s just untrue u could look at the salafi scholars of u want and see how it is Although I don’t like calling my self with a particular mathhab but if someone says ur a salafi wahabi, I would say yes cuz alhamdulliah that’s the right mathab which comes under ahel al sunna wal jamaa
@Ibrahim1643 жыл бұрын
@@layanflowers2395 Sister, I do not know which country you are from, but I am from the UK, and I have had a lot of very bad experience with people who call themselves “Salafis”. They go to special Salafi mosques (Salafi indoctrination centres) where rather than being taught how to become decent human beings, they are taught a twisted version of Islam that puts them on a collision course with the entire Muslim community. They then see it as their God-given right to force their false understanding of Islam down the throats of every Muslim they meet, and the only way to avoid meeting these troublemakers is to avoid going to the mosques. Now just in case you were thinking that I might be from the Barelvi community, let me assure you that I am not. These so-called “Salafis” won’t even go into the Barelvi mosques and cause trouble there. If they did, I would respect them for that. There are many in the Barelvi community who would accept a more authentic version of Islam if it were explained to them properly (without the arrogance), but these so-called “Salafis” won’t do that because it’s too difficult for them. Instead of that, they usually cause trouble for the Modernists because they know that they will get more acceptance and less push-back. (By Modernists I am referring to Jamaati-e-Islami and Muslim Brotherhood - and no, I am not a Modernist myself). Even the Modernists get fed up with these so-called “Salafis” eventually. I heard of one case a few years ago of a certain well-known Salafi speaker being banned from a certain mosque in London. He had been enjoying causing trouble there for so long that he couldn’t give it up. He could no longer go there himself, and so he did the next best thing and sent an innocent convert to Islam to carry on his legacy of causing trouble. The convert was recognised as having being sent by the well-known Salafi speaker who had been banned, and during the course of an argument, he ended up getting stabbed in the neck and he died from his injury. I guess that everyone has his breaking point, and if these so-called “Salafis” push their nonsense too far, then eventually this is what will tend to happen. It’s always sad when someone has to die in order to establish a boundary, but what else do you expect people to do, when they have already been pushed beyond their breaking point? To be fair, the well-known Salafi speaker did tone it down a bit after that, and he has gone on to do good in the community. (And just in case you’re wondering, I was not directly involved in any of this. I only found out about it from the well-known Salafi speaker’s KZbin channel. I commented on what had happened, and rather than responding to my comment, the brother deleted his entire video. He had a funeral to attend, and the last thing he wanted was to be reminded by me that he was directly responsible for sending his friend to his untimely death). I do not know who educates these troublemakers and sends them out to cause trouble, but I strongly suspect that they are being educated by the half-educated friends of Shaytaan who operate in the Muslim community. There is more that I could share on Shaytaan’s involvement in the Salafi movement. He’s been there from the very start. The Salafi movement was founded on the killing of Muslims, which paved the way for the rise of the Saudi dictatorship, supported and backed by Britain. The Salafi movement is not as pure as you may think, even though it may have some good in it. If you are from an Arab country, then it is possible that you have never come across the people who we, in the UK, know as “Salafis”. Your experience of Salafis might be entirely different from my own, and to be fair, I have noticed that Arab Salafis are totally different from the arrogant, argumentative pieces of sh*t that we come across in the UK who _claim_ to be Salafis. This might be the reason why you think of Salafis as good people. I only know them to be evil people, at least in the UK. Brother Saajid is an exception to the rule, but then again, he has been educated correctly, and he does not identify himself as being a Salafi. Maybe as a convert to Islam, he knows to take only the beneficial knowledge and to ignore all the un-Islamic aspects of his education that he might have been exposed to. For this reason, I feel comfortable taking knowledge from him.
