Thank you for a such detailed walkthrough, very insightful. My biggest money-worth moment is: Instead of selling to a "company", get a layer deeper and think WHO you are actually selling to. What's the department they are in, what is their incentive, how do they acquire budget, what's possible and reasonable for them to invest into software. If I were to add to it: It's essential to communicate those marketing research points with the team, as they need to be on the same page with you, especially UI/UX department. Accurate and well thought out user experience in the SaaS product can greatly add value to it. After all, the goal is to solve an existing problem without creating too many new ones haha

@@TKKader Do you have any insight on how B2B company departments budgets change pre or during a recession period? Ex. R&D would be the 1st cuts in a recession per my experience. This would help recalibrate based on macro-economics?

Thanks TK. Do you have any thoughts on API-only/API-first SaaS businesses? Essentially providing a headless service so that developers can easily integrate capabilities into their custom-built or omnichannel systems.

I’m a big fan of those. Marketing to developers is a slightly different game than business users but huge upside on product led growth when you get it to work.

@@TKKader Over the last decade, we have gone from spreadsheets to project management and work management platforms to manage work. As we now transition to hybrid working models, one could assume a new type of work management platform is required to facilitate this shift. Essentially, the next evolution. I guess do you share the same sentiment, and do you have any ideas on what the new system looks like based on your experience?

You should take a look at how @Zoho works when it comes to marketing and TOFU, believe in R&D and our budgets are are almost minuscule and yet we are 1 Billion dollar Indian company.
@TKKader Жыл бұрын
Zero people I know use Zoho. And I see their ADs everywhere. Which tells me its probably not that minuscule. And that they’re likely serving a different segment of the market than the one I focus on.
@Jeru_on_the_road Жыл бұрын
Maybe your circle is limited then ?!? I guess . Sure you see adds , it's not like we absolutely stay away, however our add revenue and add spend is quite organic and miniscule compared to industry standards. We are more an r&d focused company, and that's how we do fall to mass lay offs when the bubble pops. Our Ethos and philosophy to marketing is quite organic in philosophy. And yes , our market segment is quite focused . I do enjoy your user educational content from your selection of your KZbin videos . Regards .
