This also works for consumer goods as well. You’ve just got me to double down on the copy we are working on for the GTM machine for this consumer product.

Thoughts on niche CRMs for non-English speaking/ foreign niche markets? Couldn't we just find a similar successful micro-Saas (like a CRM) and do something similar for an overseas market - like a barbershop SaaS for Greek barbers?

It’s worth testing!

I've always focussed on consumer facing solutions and your videos have been a reflection to me, how different is the B2B space from the consumer focussed tech, and how little I know about it. Always a treat to learn! Thanks for the valuable insights, as always!

Time = money. So does saving people time fit under wealth? (I'm only partway through the vid if that's answered later)
@TKKader2 жыл бұрын
Not quite. Saving time is productivity. And people aren’t always that willing to pony up $ to save time. Tangible cost savings works better, bigger growth works best.

TK - I thought going after super niche opportunities (for micro saas founders) was a cool insight. Is there any strategy for getting good at identifying such super niche opps?

What do you think about productized services vs. micro-SaaS as a lifestyle business? Some say that it's wiser to start a productized service before starting a SaaS as a lifestyle business, since: 1) initial cash flow can be much better with a $1000/month or one-time $10000 productized service versus fighting for $100/month SaaS customers 2) a productized service can be cheaper to start (no development costs) and can lead to a SaaS later on based on automating the productized service, and 3) successfully starting a productized service means you'll have the initial customers for a SaaS later on.

SaaS businesses have a high up-front cost to getting started. Has a slow burn to get to initial scale. So if you're cash strapped, it's always better to start with a productized service to get cash flow going, and then you can re-deploy net profits (and the domain knowledge from your productized service) to building your Micro-SaaS or even full SaaS offering.

@@TKKader Great advice! Are founders typically spending tens of thousands of dollars just to ship version 1.0 of their micro-SaaS even when outsourcing to programmers in Eastern Europe?
@jameshamilton33482 жыл бұрын
I'm still a little unsure as to if a micro saas is a a saas slwith a small function set or if it's a saas with a low number of customers. Would people pay for a saas that only has one of the features of a larger saas set? For example, Trello is a subset of Jira (even though they're owned by the same company), but maybe we could take expensive saas for example sales force and take a small part of it and resell that for much less.

You think wp plug-ins count as micro-saas? A lot have recurring rev with selling yearly renewals for support and updates.
@TKKader3 жыл бұрын
Yes absolutely. Plug-ins are a great type of micro-saas. Other types include Chrome Extensions and Shopify plugins.
