I weigh 110 lbs and purchased the Winkbed Plush - after 24-48 hours, I was sleeping in a hammock. At first, I thought it was going to be too firm... nope. I felt like I sank down 4-6in, in the middle 1/3 of my body. I tried it on the floor, on a slatted foundation and with plywood underneath.

Reading the requirements on Saatva's website, they note that there needs to be at least 1" thick plywood "bunky board" and a fifth leg in the center of the bed for support. If these requirements are not met, the warranty is voided. Looking into adding a sheet of plywood which would be queen-sized for me, and an additional leg, I could be adding over $300 to the cost of the bed. I do not know if these same requirements are demanded from all these other mattress manufacturers, but I think it's worthwhile to check out.

First bought the Winkbed med-firm. Super comfy, but I found my pressure points were hurting, especially my hips, so I swtched to the softer version and it is like a cloud, but I wake up with back and rib pain daily. Back to the drawing board! I need a TRUE medium, 5-6. (I am 215 lbs, side sleeper who sleeps hot).
@toptechchicago27554 жыл бұрын
To me anyone over 200lbs as i am 205 would probably prefer the plus , if you read the reviews thoroughly, the latex in the plus version makes it cant miss for durability and comfort especially at heavier weights

Did you ever find a medium mattress? I'm in the same position you are. Side sleeper and sleep hot

I got the Nest Alexander hybrid in firm and it’s amazing. Like a cloud! But get the firm, it breaks in a lot.

i just got the softer and wow does it ever feel lush. though two nights in all my lower back pain is back (it went away sleeping on a 50 dollarblow up mattress believe it or not) I am considering (after the 30 day trial) swapping for the luxury firm as they told me the pillow top is just as plush but you do not sink as far which is better for lower back pain. how did you find that? if that does not work I will swap for the saatva, then if that does not work the purple and if that does not work the Tempurpedic Lux firm 9 I tried the lux soft and the pro adapt med and those both gave me the worse back pain I have ever had!

I wish I had room and could afford to buy 2 or 3 new mattresses, sleep a few nights on each one until I found the perfect fit, it is truly one of the most purchasing decisions that I find super difficult.

just got the wink bed softer version and the pillow top is LUSH like you would think a king and queen would have in their castle. however I have lower back issues and the softer has flared them up already in just a few nights sleep. the company will do an exchange for the luxury firm for 45 dollars and if that does not work out they will give a full refund. if I do the exchange I will only get 60 days to test the new mattress , not 120. I am hoping within 2-4 weeks of trying it my back adjust and I don't have to exchange it because I can not state enough how insanely plush it feels. i just can't sleep all night on it without pain sadly. ( I also can't sleep on a tempurpedic med or soft without back pain. though I can sleep on an 50 dollar blow up mattress with no lower back pain though, go figure.

Thanks. Seems like a no-brainer to buy the WinkMattress and return for free if needed rather than pay the $99 return fee for the Saatva if it doesn't feel like I expected. Also, with Coupon codes, Saatva is $1717 and Wink is $1799 this Labor Day weekend, so definitely a no-brainer.

Saatva is like $300 cheaper than Winkbed...with a coupon it’s just a little over $1000 ....Winkbed raised their prices a lot recently so it’s like $1300 after codes...making it about $300 difference between the two...I really like both...I tried the Loom & Leaf at Macy’s and loved it and it’s $1500 :)

I think I would love this bed. I'm a big sweater at night, so the coolness features are great. I also like the coil on coil support, which might prevent some of the hip pain I've been experiencing.

Thanks a ton for this review, it helped me clarify my concern when you said about broad shoulders people. I am a strict side sleeper almost throughout my sleep duration and any puffy, cloudy, softy mattress is definitely not for me. That's why I am going to return puffy mattress. It seems to me that my body is more suitable for firm so probably I will go ahead with winkbed-firmer version. Thanks once again for review.

I think it would be good to add the price comparisons to all these videos. I am glad you did in this video. I have been watching these all day and I thought I would go with the Casper until I went to the prices. I was very surprised to see how much more they were from there competitors. this for me, meant I had to start my mattress shopping all over again.

The winkbed is great for combo sleepers and relieving pressure points with the coils inside. Also, for keeping cool With the pillow top. Strict Side sleepers may want a little firmer feel.

watched a thousand videos... went to jc penny and mattress firm and laid on everything... discovered i had to have a pillowtop...then i discovered from feels like10,00 reviews after 2 or 3 years average foam breaks down and so i needed latex in mattress . i bought and returned a Beautiful Nest alexander signature hybrid.. because of roll off and poor edge support... I just Purchased the Wink Bed Plus primarily because of potential durability, latex , the price, edge support .the construction of the pillowtop; and they keep saying hotel quality i had to see for my self

How do you like it so far? Is it a true medium firm?
@toptechchicago27554 жыл бұрын
@@cassiejohnson8128 it is true medium firm on the firmer side of medium but i also think thats just a reflection of the response and construction giving it a firmer feel than your body actually absorbs ; if that makes any sense to you
@cassiejohnson81284 жыл бұрын
@@toptechchicago2755 It does, thank you! I was worried the latex would be too firm or wouldn't give you that slight hugging feel. I am struggling to make up my mind between the regular and HD/Plus models on each. However, it makes sense to spend the few extra hundred dollars for the durability of latex.

Thanks for all your great videos! I’ve been considering the Winkbed luxury firm after failing with the Brentwood home crystal cove. Too soft on the memory foam side and too firm on the latex side. The thing that’s making me hesitant about the Winkbed is my boyfriend has the Saavta luxury firm 14.5 inch mattress. I’m shocked at how many youtubers reviewed this as firmer than average as both my boyfriend amd I think it’s softer than average. I think it’s too soft or maybe I just find it difficult to move back and forth on the Saavta luxury firm. Based on what I’ve told you, do you think the winkbed luxury firm is right for me? I’m 180. Fall asleep on my side and wake up on my back. I hate memory foam and prefer a pillow top feel. I’d like a hybrid. Thanks in advance.

Wish you would mention the thickness of each mattress. I, personally, like a low bed....don’t want to have to climb up on the bed .....a 10 or 12 inch is good. Anything thicker, makes it too high.
