I've been out of helis for 3 years due to vertigo. was on the top of my game with 3d flying at the time of my vertigo. Bought a raw 700 built it and crashed it due to vertigo. I quit and started flying gas planes which is bad ass but Im back to helis. Lots has changed in 3 years. I always used vbar neo with the fancy radio but always had brownouts with that radio, so this time Im going back to good old fashion futaba. I watched your video here and your goo sky rs7 video. I thought hard but decided to get the puima, its just a light bad ass raw with sab quality and innovation, goo sky looks cool but it looks alot like a spectre, looks heavy and theres alot of little extra things that make no sense and add weight. I did get a omp m2 evo just for shits n giggles. Its a great little heli to train my eyes and tracking again. Im stoked about the puima, decided to use the scorpion 4225 550 limited edition motor. I hear that motor rocks this frame. Thanks for taking your time and doing such in dept reviews.

Thank you very much once again Jeff! I appreciate you getting back to me regarding my message about the order of Binding Satellites and Telemetry. Once again Jeff, your Wiring locations and Wire Management is Sensational!! Stay well and my Best to You and your Family! ❤️🙏🙏🙏❤️

Of course larry! I try and help when ever I can! I try and build for everything, I think and think and plan before I start a build and make sure I can or the customer can repair and remove things easily! Everyone always says “pretty” wiring is worth less because you can’t work on it. I beg to differ! lol you can get “show” quality build with easy maintenance! Take care buddy!

@@westhobbiesrc8051 In my opinion, with the Protection of your Wiring, all in heat shrink and Servo Wires cut to length, you should never have a problem unless it's a catastrophic mechanical failure, you never need to touch it! If yo need to repair or replace an ESC... You have allowed for that. If and when I build my next Heli, I'll be asking for Sizes of Heat Shrink and I'll be watching any one of many Videos you have posted that all have one thing in common, PERFECTION!! Take care and stay safe Jeff & as always, my Best to the ladies, this includes the younger lady. ❤️🙏🙏🙏❤️

It came out incredible as you say 👍 WestHobbiesRC, I balanced the main rotor blades. My question would be: what's the weight difference we don't care about? I balanced the 470's blades to around 0.04-0.05 g difference. CG seems identical now. Weight difference was around 0.08 g but the CG was 1 mm off. Had to use both of these metallic stickers Align provided and some aditional clear tape. What's your take on the aforementioned weight difference that is acceptable?
@westhobbiesrc80512 жыл бұрын
Thank you! So personally I have never had to weigh or balance any set of Align blades. That is definitely a pretty big weight difference. I will double and triple check that weight. Are you using a blade balancer? you want your blades to be within same spec of each other.
@Abszurdista-fatalista2 жыл бұрын
@@westhobbiesrc8051 I used the edge of a cutting blade for determining the CG like ín one of the vids on KZbin. The scale I use isn't that great but it's the only one I have. Tomorrow I'll try to increase the weight to have 0.00 g difference while keeping the CG.

Beautiful wiring. So I don't know or didn't notice that the screw on the wire guard, the one that goes into the side of the frame. The screw is touching the motor mount. So even though loosening the two nuts and screws to adjust the main belt tension, that screw was stopping the entire mount from moving. Pretty sure I used the screw that came in the bag. Have you notice that? Both my 700 Raw Kse and Raw 580 did that.
@westhobbiesrc80512 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much! Definitely time-consuming but well worth it in the end. No I have not noticed that or run into any issues from that. I will look and see but definitely not had an issue from it.
@robpound8163 Жыл бұрын
Jon - The screw you're referring to does NOT attach to the motor mount. Look at Page 9 of the manual, and you will see a note to not intall the screw which is for one of the tapped holes in the transmission group base plate. It's this hole which will receive the attachment screw for the wiring support. It does appear that it would possibly go into the motor mount, but it doesn't.
@Scjon03 Жыл бұрын
@@robpound8163 yeah the screw that I used is too long. It goes all the way through and touches the motor mount which stops the plate from moving. Just need to swap it out with a smaller screw that is all.

This motor was a shaft A and I had to cut it down slightly. Shaft B would be a perfect fit.

Yo, can u do a video on how to level the swashplate on the fusion 360? It be really helpful. Also I'm having trouble with the flight modes, as in the 6250hx only has one flight mode. Help!

Why do you add 2Deg rudder on tail
@westhobbiesrc80512 жыл бұрын
I add 2-4 degrees because of mechanical leverage. For a proper tail set up you don’t want the Gyro to be working as far as hunting. So if you have a neutral tail the torque of the helicopter is going to spend the helicopter knows left tail right. If you add a right pitch from the start do you have that mechanical leverage and the Giro doesn’t have to work and hunt to try to keep the tail straight it will automatically stay straight as the helicopter spoils up you are pushing against the rotation of the rotor.
