seeing these videos finally inspired me to finish the storm wizard collection after so many years. only got six more to go! and here i thought taking 15-20 minutes on this level was insanely speedy! that cloud skip is insane, i dont know if im just screwed bc im playing on a charr but it looks insane to pull off

Skipped that jump at 2:53 after way too many attempts. I just could not do it. Took the long way instead by completing the push puzzles etc. First time through and felt good figuring out the rest myself.

Hey. Thanks for all these videos. They've really helped me get better at speed running through trib mode. That said, I wanted your opinion on something. With how insanely inconsistent the scale skip is, the one where you hit the fish to try and get a speed boost, if one isn't trying to get a WR, is it generally preferable to just do that part normally? I only ask because I'm constantly spending 10+ minutes trying to get the skip to work. Only once have I done it where it was faster doing the skip then doing it normally, and I'm not sure if the skip is just that unreliable or if I'm just doing it constantly wrong.

it's all about spacing and angle. make sure you have dodge and jump on 2 buttons you can press at the same time easily or macro them to the same button. then, you just gotta get the spacing and angle down thru practice. once you get the angle right and get the dodge jump it is pretty consistent.

How do you get enough forward momentum to skip the scales at 1:23?

You hit the fish to get in combat with the fish. For some reason SOMETIMES after the combat ends you get a movespeed boost that allows you to get enough distance

If I want to quickly farm zones in tribulation this way, is using skips that are not really intended considered exploits or am I safe from a ban?

You don't have to worry about Anet intervening with any of the skips done in SAB. The pixel-jumps that are performed are just part of how the game was designed and have been part of it since the game's launch over 10 years ago.

why pick up a piranha when u do that skip? is it otherwise undoable?

You need the Piranha to get in/out combat at the right time, so you have extra speed. He explained it in his previous video.

Why is your dodge roll animation blurred? Is that some special effect?

He's playing on a Thief. They and revenants have special dodge-roll animations. Thieves have a blur effect, while revenants have a little puff of mists energy. Some elite specs have special dodges as well, but elite specs are stripped while in the Box. Thief and Rev's are both core, though.

also plays a sick sound effect but has the disadvantage of telling PvP enemies you are dodging nearby
