People/owners in general have three problems with Astor. 1) They say it is underpowered. 2) Less fuel efficient. 3) Chinese co. I really don't know whether these issues really persist or are they very subjective in nature. Iam told, that the Jindals have acquired 35% stake in the co. from the Shanghai co. & hence it is no longer a Chinese co. Secondly, Iam told by the company itself, that it sources 75% of its requirement from India & the rest 25% comes from China & England. Now the moot question is, from where is the engine sourced ? Does it still come from China ?

Please don't compare MG Car with any of the Maruti.. Build quality is far better than any of the other car in this segment like kia, creta

Because of it’s kerb weight which is highest in segment with 1300Kg which is 150-200Kg heavier than Suzuki GV, Creta and Seltos

I recently boughat MG Astor 2nd base variant manual transmission. I am facing 2nd and 3 gear initial pick up lag issue. Atleast 3 seconds initial lag i am facing. But if i push the accelartor slowly then its fine. Company service man said any MG manual variant has this picup lag issue. Note: This only happens when i slow down the gear from 4th or 5th to 2nd or 3rd make the car slow and then pushing the acclrt to speed up then facing the picup lag. Please reply.

I am driving sharp Manual from last 1 week, new models from November onwards has adequate torque specially in first and second gear. third gear has still lag on low rpms ..the new model has some other changes also like sun roof rotator has replace with ZS EV like button...please drive a new model and let us know if you feel the difference.

Sir Astor ka rereview kijye sprint model ka aha cruise control/wind booster lagane ke bad, sports mode Asor ka performance aur pick up bada deta hai aur lag nahi hota hai.

Better u drive one MG car specially new hector or even Astor in 2023 before jumping to conclusion ...I can assure you every MG car comes with technology of at least as good as 50 Lakhs car but that also only makes sense if you understand or love technology...and as far as VW cars their 1liter automictic or manual are underpower (you can't climb it on small hill in second, third gear(This is the case when engine is their selling point ) and 1.5 liter will rob you and on top it I know people visiting VW or Skoda workshop every day with taigun or kusaq,...they call it worst decision of their life. The resale value of VW cars is 0 keep that also in mind.

I have driven MG i have owned a hector. Shittest car in the segment. No resale value. Right now you can't sell a hector in more than 13 lakhs be it of any varriant. No body wants but a secondhand Chinese shit. Engine sourced from Fiat gearbox from hyundai khud se banayi kya ek bhaddi si screen. I challenge you uncle i can gap your MG with a Waggoner forget vw 1.0 tsi. 1.0 tsi has gaped even fortuner it can reach 210km/hr no MG can reach 180+ infant you won't take a MG till 180. And there is no new one old its the same car with different screens and ventilated seats because of which customers like you buy cars nothing else .

Have you driven 1.0 ltr Skoda/ Volkswagen cars?? I m surprised. This month I drove to toughest clims in Sach pass , most dangerous road in India. I never felt any power lag and I drove in 3rd gear. Other cars were struggling but this is turbocharger engine which give 178 NM torque in even 1700 rpm. Don't give fake comments.

Video bhi dekha and comments bhi read kar liya. Underpowered engine? Kaise? How? Curv weight zeyada hai, at the same time body aerodynamic hai. Segment mein similar engine horse power and similar torque and similar 1 to 100 time hai. Toh slow ka matlab? Under gear rakhoge aur bologe engine under powered hai toh kaise chalega.

..you will buy 1.5 DSG if you are driving enthusiast but be ready for 5 kmpl milage the moment you press the paddle heard. So technically that 1.5 liter engine is of no use in indian road conditions ...and a very valid point once the nation switches to E20 fuel none of the turbo charged engine will survive...be ready to send your taigun, kushaq, octavia and virtus to scrapyard as VW dealers would not be able to help you in that desperate moment, the normal petrol is going to be costlier ...shell has started selling High octane petrol for 126 rs a liter.

Don't worry about the vw people. And the government won't just shift to g20 fuel without giving a substitute for that. Vw group invest 9000 crore in the MQB io platform they won't just let it go that in the drain. MG is a shit Chinese copying cat. They have no R&D making shit cars and looting people. None of these MGs will survive in the next 5 years but i can challenge you there will polos still by the end of the decade. G20 blending will start but they won't phase out g10 and the people who buy 1.5 tsi 2.0. Tsi they can afford 5-7 tank fillups in a month. Mostly VW owners are those owners who have already owned a lot of cars before they know how to drive and they know what they want. Mostly Hyundai maruti kia Mg owners are those people who probably bought their first car or shifted from a 2 wheeler to a 4 wheeler. So no vw owner will send their car to a scrapyard but yes kia maruti owners will end up in a scrap yard very soon once they taste a 60 km/hr accident.

Guys i drove Volkswagen virtus 1.0 turbo petrol , i am surprised by its performance, car does 150 kmph easily and top speed of 210 , i am amazed it is such a powerful car and gives feel of audi under 20 lakhs , driven that car on hills too and very dangerous hills of himachal it climbs effortlessly, and the 180 mm ground clearance gives an extra edge over other cars and gives confidence to go anywhere , best purchase
