How is Astor one of the “safest and better build” car when it has not been crash tested? Also, Astor was launched just last year, it’s not even a year. So we don’t know how things would be in long run, especially keeping its Chinese background in mind.

@C1PH3R 1.0 why are you probably unintentionally trying to misguide people? The mileage you’ve mentioned is no where close to real life efficiency. Astor in city give around 8-9km/litre where as on highways it’ll return some where around 12-13.

Creta is the most over priced car ever! Base model Petrol doesnt have anything except Engine.. Yes Just Engine Nothing else. Thats alright, its reasonable bcoz its a base model but the cost is mad! Booked Astor

Plus if Astor does not have base model I can't spend 15.5 lakhs for S variant of Creta which is an SUV but elder people cannot get Back seat arm rest when travelling 700 kms on a trip. Hahaha 15.5 lakhs on road and no armrest at the back for the elderly. Claps

MG Astor and Creta have tough compition, But I'll choose Astor over Creta because the build quality and road presence of Astor is way better Even Astor has a lot more features than Creta, Including Safety features. When you check the Aftersale service of the car, then I guess MG is doing better than Hyundai, So, one more reason to go for Astor.

That is correct. That would have been a 4 cylinder unit too instead of the 3 cylinder mill currently. However, the 1.3 turbo engine of the Astor is an extremely refined unit for 3 pot mill.

If these two are your major concerns take some test drive with both cars and you can find a very very slight difference in your points. Astor would be good for Road presence too. I like the 2019 Creta design than this new design.

Build quality is good in Astor but it looks like a cross over and cramped too. Creta is no where a winner in this case as well due to average build quality. Engine and Transmission combination in Astor is patheric while Creta scores a bit in this department. Features in Astor are all gimmicks and we never know when they will fail. End of the story, both the cars nor perfect and I can't select any of the two.

Creta- a complete package of ride and handling??? Better learn what handling is before you make such reckless and unfair comments. What about build quality? you did not mention it at all. As a reviewer, you have to be very open minded and ready to accept the surprises, be it pleasant or unpleasant. Only that makes you a reliable source. Astor is indeed better in handling and steering feedback though it lags somewhat behind creta in power delivery, FE, etc.

I had test driven astor manual, it was pulling like my Alto. That was a big turn off for me and likewise Astor is still a car, looks more like a hatchback, it is nowhere near to look as suv or compact suv. Creta kills it out on the suv looks. Creta is a well finished product, it doesn't have to over do to sell itself. When you sit in creta and drive, it only makes one statement. "This fits me in every aspect" Sales numbers are not a joke.

Creta is not a safe car especially for high speeds. How can you make such a reckless remark that one cannot just go wrong with creta? Coming to handling, creta is just average, and leaves a lot to be desired.
