Why is everyone asking why there are no songs about ? Sabaton can only make so many songs in an album, and this particular one was about Sweden's rise and fall, as Sabaton's band members are Swedish. The battle of Prague in 1648 reminds me much of the Prague uprising in May 1945. ''Start of the conflict and end of the war'' ei the first country to be fully occupied by nazi Germany in march 1939 and the last to be liberated, ''They did it on their own'' ei the Prague uprising almost failed because of no suppourt from the allies, only the Russian Army of Liberation (ROA) in the style of Darth Vader turned on their German allies and saved Prague on the last day of the war, right before surrendering to the Americans, ''Fear is spreading, Hate increasing, Death, and pain is all that Sweden brought'' the occupation Czechia was very brutal, and all the rage and anger lashed out in the uprising against the nazis, the Estonian SS was particularly hit hard, many of them killed, tortured and mutilated in what became known as ''the Czech hell''. All in all it's proof that in many ways history repeats itself.

Listening to this while writing an essay on the thirty years war. It really gets me in the mood. Edit: Anyone want to hear about the role of Saxony and other conservative Lutherans in stabilizing the politico-religious situation in the Holy Roman Empire in the period between the Treaty of Augsburg (1555) and the revolt in Prague (1617)?

Well, everyone may have their own opinion. Mine is that it sounds a little...unrhyming. But it might also be because I'm more used to Killing ground than Ett slag färgat rött... Another question. Did they write the swedish songs first or was that after the english version?

+Chinahasbeengenerous Czechs are western slavs, just because German tribes inhabited the area at one point doesn't mean that the guys that live there are German. Just as a French person isn't Roman just because Romans lived there at one point. Chezchs, Poles, Slovaks and Sorbs are Western Slavic people, Russians, Belorussians and Ukranians are Eastern Slavic people, Slovenians, Croatians, Bosnians, Serbians, Montenegrins and FYROM Macedonians are Southern Slavic people(Bulgarians are Tartar by nature, but accepted Slavic culture at one point).
@Chinahasbeengenerous11 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the update though it's kind of refutable, since occupation tends to instate nationality as does immigration and so on. I also pointed out time frames if you cared to read, current day borders never existed in ancient times for the most part and to be honest i could argue many things about the geographical regions of Europe and other parts of the world but I wont, since I generally only get simplistic responses from those with the wish to argue only current day matters.

***** Let me give you another info my friend. Genetic mutation G551D is Celtic genetic mutation. This mutation is mostly in Czech Republic, Ireland, Austria and France. Which means that Czechs are basicly Celtics.Celtics were in czech republic 6. and 5. century BC. They were lately pushed out from top by Teutons and from bottom by Romes! So theres just some more info about the Czech origins in case you care... The More You Know..
