Glad that you enjoyed it. Personally i would also call this history metal, however they still fall under power metal. If you plan to react to more Sabaton i do recommend reacting to: SABATON - No Bullets Fly (Animated Story Video) and SABATON - Night Witches (Animated Story Video). Also they have another KZbin channel called Sabaton History if you don’t know what the song is about since they talk about what the song is about.

Yepp, Sabaton is all about war history! The songs are about a specific battle, batalion, soldier or well you get the idea. One important thing is that they never takes sides, they just telling the story according to historical facts!

Yep! History Metal is their thing! ....Sabaton Army + 1 new fan!!! Sabaton singing about battles, wars and acts of heroism from all over the world and they never pick side....They are just telling stories from a history point of view. If you want to be really amazed allready DAY1 ....You should go watch this very song at their legendary concert at the Polish Woodstock festival 2012 ....with 700 000 to 800 00 in the crowd!!! ....By that I believe you understand that you just hit a goldmine here ;-) - In terms of wiews to your channel. Because Sabatons fanbase are bigger than some countries WHOLE armies!!!!

@@JammersMetalMischief I guess you have heard it a million times :-) But almost all their songs are super good. But check out the the songs and musicvideos to "Bismarck" and " Christmas Truce" ...they are impressive....they also just (a couple of weeks ago) released a new album. A few notes for those that are curious, The reason behind their risky and quick manuevers was their commander Erwin Rommels decision, just him, not any other general approved it, not even Hitler knew about it. Rommel was a stormtrooper in WW1, this explains his reliance quick offensive moves. Also his tendency of commanding his men while going into the combat zone before them . He actually went through the france and had to turn back to join with the rest of the german forces, by the time they crossed a river, Rommel was on his way back, collecting his soldiers that couldnt keep up with him and catching french by surprise. A french woman actually came up to Rommel and asked if he was british, since everyone expected the british forces to arrive soon. 7th division actually costed Hitler a nights sleep. And probably had worse effects on high command since due to their speed not even they knew where the division was. I will write more on rommel after i get back home

love the vid! :) just for context: 7. Panzer-Division earned their nickname of "ghost division" (La division fantome) by the French as they popped up where nobody was expecting them. and yeah, we can call it History Metal. I like that a lot, lol

Welcome to Sabaton rabbit hole. Best thing about Sabaton is that they sing about history as it happened, without adding political opinions or picking sides. I agree with the suggestions already mentioned and I would add as a must see Bismarck (official music video) and Christmas Truce (official music video). Also I highly recommend checking out their Sabaton History channel where they work with the historian who explains historical background of the events and/or people described in the songs

Yeah, Historical Metal is a thing... I think. Sabaton specialises on it and made it their thing. They recently released their second album about World War 1 "The War to End All Wars". You should check some of the songs out. I can especially recommend the songs Dreadnought, Hellfighters, Stormtroopers, Soldier of Heaven, Christmas Truce, Unkillable Soldier and Race to The Sea.

Aside from Sabaton, there is another war metal band called 1914. All of their songs are World War I. They really nailed how dark and horrific that war was. I would recommend …And a Cross Now Marks His Place, The Hundred Days Offensive, or Don’t Tread on Me (Harlem Hellfighters).

excellent, those will go on the list.

My favorite characteristic of Sabaton's songs is that they don't pick sides. They tell stories from the perspectives of all combatants in different conflicts. Strip away countries and politics and you are left with incredible feats of human bravery, courage, and sacrifice. This song is a good example of that. Regardless of the politics of Germany and the world at the time, these German soldiers and officers were able to pull off this daring and extremely risky plan with devastating effectiveness. Rommel's genius and the soldiers' bravery are both remembered. Pick any Sabaton song you want and it'll be a banger! Great reaction.

May I suggest "en livstid I krig " live from Göteborg Sweden, it is in Swedish but there are subtitles. the lyrics are very powerful, how about this snippet "I give my life for my country but who will miss me? see me like a husband, a friend father and son that never will return home" also check out "Bismark" "to hell and back " a reaction to Sabaton history channel would be interesting

Sabaton does their best not to judge sides in conflicts and sing about the soldiers, not about the decision makers who create policy. The are exceptions. For example, their song about the Reich is titled "Rise of Evil". Listen to the song Wehrmacht. Not all Germans fought for the glory of the Nazis. Some were just defending their homes and families. Another song to think about: Last Battle. It's about the battle of Castle Itter. German Army soldiers get American Army soldiers and work together to defend French prisoners from the SS.
