@@josephoutram tell that to their ancestors
@wardeni96035 жыл бұрын
@@josephoutram Definitely not in happiness, but shitting themselves depends on the situation and the people. In WW2 for example Finns were known to fight the soviets with knives when they ran out of ammo, or disable tanks by running up to them and sticking a log into their tracks with bare hands. Their homes and families were threatened so they just went more berserk than scared. In a foreign land, in a pointless war, of course. Nobody wants to be there, and nobody wants to die there. But in your homeland, with your entire way of life threatened, people may even prefer death sometimes just to set an example for others to protect their home, a prime example would be the Spartans at Thermopylae. That being said, I hope with all my heart no one ever invades any of the Nordics again, or any other European country for that matter. It's probably going to happen at some point, but I hope it won't

To be fair. Most of their albums have atleast 2 sad-ish songs. (Art of War, Coat of Arms for example). Generally this was the case. You have the majority being your usual hype history lesson on crack sprinkled with mostly 1-3 sadder songs. But Great War turned this around. Only some songs have matters that are more heroic and hype enducing (Notable songs being Devil Dogs, The Red Baron and Seven Pillars of Wisdom). But the rest are either sad. Darker topics or just melancholic as they gave us the best "In Flanders Fields " version to ever be produced sofar.
