@@PWAandWJSC the problem with this song is, that even though they are not supporting nazis etc, these people are able to use this song for their own purposes. imagine a neo nazi hearing "the reich will rise" and singing it, because he supports hitlers ideology and the nazi stuff even if sabaton he don't want to support them, they have to take responsibility for what they are singing about, because not everyone is as enlightened as we are. also, tbh, sabaton on my opinion are not distancing enough from that, especially joakim. i am not talking about the interviews where he says "we don't glorify war, we just sing about history", i am f.e. talking about the interviews with indy about the songs "wehrmacht" or "rise of evil". he always seems to hide behind the statements i wrote above and that kinda can become a problem

Why does it kinda feel, like back in the day, all the joking (we are the gay band from sweden stuff etc.) was partly to break the image (the tension), songs like this might create for "some people". If it was, I think it works! I mean they still in 2022 occasionally get called all kinds of -ist, so... people are dumb. But I do think it's always been mostly just about them having fun, together with the fans. + Jocke looking pretty fit here! It's funny that (I think) he looks way more intimitating and badass now (2022), even though he's "an old, fat, swedish guy" as he's called himself more than once ;) btw. I freaking LOVE Sabaton, nothing negative ever meant from me!
