10 years ago, i became a firefighter. One of the older guys told me, you will see a lot of shit, and a lot of blood and maybe death, so, if you have nothing to do in the face of a human, dont look at it. Bodys will be forgotten one day, a humans face will be there, in your brain, for a much longer time, and can cause a lot of damage to you. I rembered that until today, and i will remember that for the rest of my service.

The part discussing the PTSD is Murphies actually writing, its from his poem "The Crosses Grow on Azio" Oh, gather 'round me, comrades, and listen while I speak; Of a war, a war, a war - where hell is six feet deep. Along the shore, the cannons roar. Oh how can a soldier sleep? The going's slow on Anzio and hell is six feet deep. Praise be to God for this captured sod that’s rich where blood does seep; With yours and mine, like butchered swine; and hell is six feet deep. That death does wait there's no debate; no triumph will we reap The crosses grow on Anzio, where hell is six feet deep. He was 19 when he wrote this poem
