The song is about the Polish Warsaw Uprising that started on 1st August 1944, against Germans (during the WW II). During the uprising Germans murdered 200 000 of Polish civilians, including women, children, even infants, elders. People were fighting against the German occupiers for 63 days, until 3rd October 1944. After the fall of the uprising Germans destroyed Warsaw, the capital of Poland, in more than 80%. Every year, on 1st August, to commemorate the Warsaw Uprising the whole country stops for a minute at 5 p.m., and the alarm sirens are turned on in the whole country. And in the evening people meet in Warsaw and sing the songs that were written and sung by the insurgants. In Warsaw there's a whole Museum of the Warsaw Uprising.

Totally agree I'm also not the biggest guy and I once found myself suddenly in the middle of a moshpit. They absolutely recognize if you are willing to head out of it and I came out there without problems. Metalheads sometimes seem to be big and scary but I would promise that they will automatically shield you up. So just go to the concert and let us know your experiences. Greetings from Germany :)

This song You've listened - "Uprising" - I think is one of the best of their songs, it's really good. And also the interaction with people at the concert was also great. Another good songs of Sabaton are for instance: "Winged Hussars" (it's about the Battle of Vienna in 1683, so-called Siege of Vienna, against Turkish, and the Polish special elite cavalry formation of knights, that played decisive role in the battle) and "40:1" (it's about the battle of Wizna in 1939 against Germans). There's also "Inmate 4859" (it's about Witold Pilecki, very well known member of Polish underground resistance movement and Home Army during the WW II, a hero).

When i was at a Maiden concerrt in 85 a small girl like u fell next to me and she was uncontious so me and another guy lift her up and carried her to the pitpeople where they send medics to her. But this show i really love it, its in Poland and they first called it Woodstock but they got sued over the name so they changed it to Bloodstock and its a huge metal festival.

Excellent reaction. Sabaton live is totally amazing; if you are worried about the crowd, see them in a small venue. I saw Sabaton (Epica opened) at the Ryman in Nashville, TN in 2022. 2400 seat auditorium, and they put on the best show I have ever seen. Great crowd interaction and you could see they loved performing. Great thing about small venues is no matter where you are it seems like you are right on stage with them. BTW, Thobbe Englund (the white Fender Stratocaster soloist here) has returned to Sabaton. I love watching Robban Back on drums. His facial expressions and animation are awesome.

At least in my experience, for every short person on a power metal concert, there is a 130kg heavy old guy (no matter if he's short or tall) who somehow is able to push the entire mosh-pit to the side with one arm. And I've only ever met nice people on the 4 Sabaton concerts I've been to, so in the worst case you can look for a group that appears nice and just ask them if you can stay with them because you don't want to die in a mosh pit - never heard a metal fan say no to that (unless they were specifically there to be in the mosh-pit) As for the homework: "Christmas truce" and "no bullets fly" for the stories are top tier for reactions, followed imo by "soldier of heaven" and "the unkillable soldier" "Bismarck" for the video and I think you personally would like "Lady of the dark" not quite infinite suggestions: "the last battle", "82nd all the way", "shiroyama", "40:1", "Night Witches", "The Final Solution" (...it's heavy though), "Cliffs Of Gallipoli", "Father" (slow burn, took me a few times to like but it became one of my faves), "Rorke's Drift", "Stormtroopers" and most importantly: set to repeat 😂

To get another dimension to this song is how Warsaw had it in the second world war. They actually say "women, men and children were fighting side by side" and that is the truth. Soviet also stood aside and watched Germany completely destroy this city, which is horrific. Poland has been through sooo much. I slaute you.

As a now old man in his late 30s going to a show is no problem. This is a festival and the crowd is massive but shows tend to be in concert halls or bars. You can chill in the front or back and not get hit. Also metalheads are chill about not involving anyone who doesn't want to be in the pit, if you fall or get hurt 10 dudes are right there to help, it goes tenfold for old lads and girls.

As fellow short person, all the way in the front or near the sound tech tower. Sabaton crowds are very friendly in my experience. I'm 5'7"-5'8", male, so that is short.
