Ian Astbury saved me 20 bucks when I gave him the wrong change when I was a delivery driver in Hollywood. I didn't tell him that I had a poster of the Cult on my bedroom wall when I was in high school. Hehe

"Fire Woman' by the Cult is also amazing. Same great vibe & talent but a little harder. They're a great band and still touring!

I saw AC/DC about 8 or 9 times. Sadly, Bon was not around anymore but Brian Johnson was great in concert. They were my favourite hard rock band too. I still have my Angus dollar from when they played ''Money Talks'' during the Razor's Edge tour! They dropped them from the ceiling into the crowd. By the way, being in the middle of thousands of people rocking out is only fun for a while, haha. During the ''Fly on The Wall'' tour I had to be rescued with some others that were being crushed. It was still a blast!

The Cult have a fantastic and rich catalog. See o underated and so few of their songs made radio play. Tragic,... They are fantastic live as well. Try giving Zap City, The Phoenix, The Witch, Lil' Devil, Star and Nitivanna a listen...

I saw them in 88, and in 2022, in Detroit, Michigan, they still sounded fantastic in 22 but less energy than in 88. But the 80 and 90s gnr was an epic ride. Can you react to ( don't cry) in this song he uses his whole vocal. range thanks! The vevo version is probably best for this song.

The CULT are still an active band. They do tour regularly so you can go see them and Ian's voice is still amazing. Every album has its own unique style, something they got criticized for over the years, but each one is great for different reasons.

They were the different in a cookie cutter mainstream era, like many groups that were the shadows banging out songs you didn't get on commercial radio but could hear in the bars that the nontraditional people hung out. This is one of my go to songs when I am at work and can't stand the crap. in my 60's people have no Idea what is coming out of the ear buds. Billy Idol gets calls too when I need to slow down. Eyes without a face

His voice is sort of a higher register of Jim Morrison style of singing. Think of Jim singing "LA Woman" but with just a little higher pitched voice.

Class of '64, here. Methinks you need a touch of H. G. Wells, Millie - it's difficult to experience this music second hand - but it's (also) good that you appreciate these earlier bands. I've always considered The Cult as a cross over between AC/DC & The Rolling Stones - mannerisms, musical phrasing & tempo - in fact every orchestrated moment. L/H bassist, drummer & guitarist here, too... 😉

Class of ‘83 Rules !! This was the kind of music we would listen to at the Alternative dance club when we were 21 and went to the city. Hot chicks, cool crazy music, lots of drinks and dancing and the best time of our lives…. I wish you could have been there too Milli 💕
