Yeah, the guitarist was bad-azz... ( Solo from Hell!) but the whole band had that goth rock S & M look. Even the girl on keyboards made sure she snarled when the cam panned on her!

Great video Millie! I have another suggestion for a band for you to review - the New Wave band the Fixx! Songs like Stand Or Fall, Red Skies At Night, Saved By Zero, The Sign of Fire.

Phil is a 'Prog Rock' God having played with Genesis from the early 70s. You gotta check out his live Genesis dual drumming with Chester Thompson. Checkout the live Rome open air gig in 2007 in front of half a million people it is insane. It is amazing so many have never heard of Phil before along with Genesis he has sold over 300 million albums! yes 300 million! He took over from another legend Peter Gabriel as lead singer in 1975. Again checkout the live old Genesis medley of In The Cage/Cinema Show/ Dukes Travels/Afterglow it is off the charts!

I've watched this video a dozen times at least....every time I get nervous that he's not going to make it to the drums for the big drop. He gets there everytime :) Amazing how he successfully choreographed that live!

I am left-handed as well, but I play a right-handed guitar. The first time I picked up a guitar I turned it left-handed and my dad told me that I had it upside down. If I were a drummer, I would be a left-handed drummer like Phil Collins. Lefties in a right-handed world must be ambidextrous. Only 10% of the world population are southpaws or lefties.

Written by Billy Idol and Stevie Stevens. Billy Idol was in a New York City club with The Rolling Stones. Idol saw a vodka named Rebel Yell. He took the name and wrote the lyrics. In the same club, he introduced Nile Rodgers to the late David Bowie. The 2 produced Let's Dance 💃. These events happened after Bowie and Queen petformed, produced and wrote Under Pressure. Suggested videos 📹: 1 Billy Idol sings Cradle of Love 2 David Bowie sings Let's Dance. 3 David Bowie and Queen perform Under Pressure.

He was part of the original British punk movement which the Sex Pistols created. His punk band Generation X had a couple of hits between 1977 and 1979. _Into the Valley of the Dolls_ is pretty good, and you can see in the performances he hadn't quite nailed his look or his stagecraft yet.

Apparently, Phil wrote this as he was going through a nasty divorce. At least for me, that adds an amount of depth to this song that makes it very personal.

Great live version! Phil Collins is best known as the drummer/singer of the rock band Genesis in the 70's & for his solo career. He has had so many great hits such as "Another Day In Paradise", "I Don't Care Anymore", "Against All Odds", "One More Night", "Sussudio", "Take Me Home", "Two Hearts", "A Groovy Kind Of Love", "I Wish It Would Rain Down", "You Can't Hurry Love" etc.

UNDERRATED BAND. There's actually a longer version of this song with some cool vocalizing by the very charismatic Ian Astbury at the beginning. The album this came from also contained other great songs like rain and brother Wolf, sister Moon. Their album Sonic Temple is similarly full of bangers. You must do more cult

What's great about The Cult is that their music brings together the Goths, the Punks, the Classic Rock fans, and the Biker-community for some straight-ahead, loud, retro-influenced Rock and Roll! The Cult is great for bring in a new sound -- Alt-Rock sound -- with late 60's/70's Hard Rock/post-Psychedelia influences! They are rock-solid. Great band!

Millie, I DJ'd back in the 80's and 90's and this song was SO popular for a Rock-based dance tune, like an Alt-Rock banger. I would always mix this song with Billy Idol or The Cure, perhaps even some early U2. Great band!! The Cult have a TON of great songs!
