@@lindaandersen5723 wait, when did the virus appear in europe?
@lindaandersen57234 жыл бұрын
@@kitkat47chrysalis95 I'm not sure exactly when it came to Europe. I'm from Sweden, I think the virus first appeared here at the end of February and about the middle of March the first national restrictions were put in place (no crowds more than 500, less than a month later it became 50) which effectively cancelled all performances, shows and events around the nation. All I know is that my sister and I were very lucky with the timings of the concert and a play that took place a week later, especially since the tickets to both events were given to me as a Christmas gift. Had either been dated about a fortnight later both, most likely, would have been cancelled.

I was there🤟 They mentioned that they were performing in Stockholm the next day and for that reason they wanted to make a little competition. The crowd who could sing A Lifetime of War (SWE) the loudest would be the winner and so naturally, the west coast wanting to beat the east coast, we sang our heads of. I'm not kidding, my throat was sore as hell the next day.

If you read this please make a song based on this incident: The Yamato Hotel incident was a tearing of the Dutch flag (Red-White-Blue) into the Indonesian flag (Red-White) at the Yamato Hotel in Surabaya (now the Majapahit Hotel in Surabaya) on September 19, 1945, which was preceded by the failure of negotiations between Sudirman (the Surabaya resident) and Mr. W.V.Ch Ploegman to lower the Dutch flag. The raising of the Indonesian flag After the Proclamation of Indonesian Independence and the announcement of the Sukarno government on August 31, 1945, which stipulated that starting on September 1, 1945 the national flag of the Red and White flag was raised throughout Indonesia, the flag-raising movement was increasingly extended to all corners of the city of Surabaya. In various strategic places and other places the Indonesian flag was raised. Among other things on the terrace above the Residency Office Building (Syucokan office, the current governor's building, Jalan Pahlawan) located in front of the Kempeitai building (now the Tugu Pahlawan), above the Internatio Building, followed by a line of youth from all over Surabaya carrying the Indonesian flag coming to Tambaksari (the Gelora Stadium field on November 10) to attend a giant meeting organized by the Surabaya Youth Front. During the meeting Tambaksari field was full of waving red and white flags accompanied by the cry of 'Merdeka' which was shouted by the masses. Kempeitai who had banned the meeting could not stop and dismantle the mass of the people of Surabaya. The climax of the flag-raising movement in Surabaya then occurred during the flag tear incident at the Yamato Hoteru / Yamato Hotel or the Oranje Hotel (now called the Majapahit Hotel) on Jl. Tunjungan no. 65 Surabaya. The arrival of British and Dutch troops in AFNEI Initially the Japanese and Indo-Dutch who had left the internationals formed an organization, the Social Contact Committee, which received full assistance from Japan. The establishment of this committee was sponsored by the International Red Cross (Intercross). However, taking refuge behind Intercross they carry out political activities. They tried to take over the warehouses and some of the places they had occupied, like the Yamato Hotel. On September 18, 1945, arrived in Surabaya (Gunungsari) Allied and Dutch officers from AFNEI (Allied Forces Netherlands East Indies) together with the Intercross entourage from Jakarta. The Allied group was administered by the Japanese administration in Surabaya at the Yamato Hotel, Jl Tunjungan 65, while the Intercross entourage in the Devil's Building, Jl Tunjungan 80 Surabaya, without the permission of the Surabaya Residency Government. And since then the Yamato Hotel has been made the headquarters of RAPWI (Rehabilitation of Allied Prisoners of War and Internees: Rehabilitation Assistance for Prisoners of War and Internees). Flying the Dutch flag A group of Dutch people under the leadership of Mr. W.V.Ch Ploegman on the evening of September 19, 1945, precisely at 21:00, waved the Dutch flag (Red-White-Blue), without the approval of the Surabaya Regional Government of Surabaya, at the pole at the top level of the Yamato Hotel, on the north side. The next day the Surabaya youths saw him and became angry because they thought the Dutch had insulted Indonesian sovereignty, wanted to restore power back in Indonesia, and insulted the red-and-white flag-raising movement that was taking place in Surabaya. The news spread quickly throughout the city of Surabaya, and Jl. Tunjungan was quickly overrun by angry mobs. The mass continued to flow until the hotel yard and building yard adjoining the building were full of angry tones. On the back side of the hotel courtyard, several Japanese soldiers were on guard to control the unstable situation. The failure of the Sudirman and Ploegman negotiations Shortly after the mass gathering, Resident Sudirman, a fighter and diplomat who was then serving as Deputy Resident (Fuku Syuco Gunseikan) who was still recognized by the Dai Nippon Surabaya Syu government, as well as the Surabaya Regional Government of the Republic of Indonesia Government, came through the crowd and then entered the hotel Yamato was escorted by Sidik and Hariyono. As a representative of RI he negotiated with Mr. Ploegman and his friends and requested that the Dutch flag be taken down from the Yamato Hotel building. In these negotiations Ploegman refused to lower the Dutch flag and refused to recognize Indonesian sovereignty. The negotiations were heated up, Ploegman pulled out a gun, and there was a fight in the negotiating room. Ploegman was strangled by Sidik, who was later killed by Dutch soldiers who were on guard and heard the Ploegman gun explosion, while Sudirman and Hariyono escaped outside the Yamato Hotel. Tearing the Dutch flag Outside the hotel, the young men who knew the mess of the negotiations immediately broke into the Yamato Hotel and a fight broke out in the hotel lobby. Some young people scrambled up to the hotel to lower the Dutch flag. Hariyono who was originally with Sudirman returned to the hotel and was involved in climbing the flagpole and together with Kusno Wibowo managed to lower the Dutch flag, tore the blue part, and hoisted it to the top of the pole again. This event was welcomed by the masses below the hotel with the cry 'Merdeka' repeatedly. The role of events in the Indonesian War of Independence After the incident at the Yamato Hotel, on October 27, 1945 the first battle broke out between Indonesia and the AFNEI army. These small attacks turned out to turn out to be general attacks which took many victims both in the Indonesian and British military and civilians on the Indonesian side. Finally General D.C. Hawthorn asked President Sukarno for help to defuse the situation and hold a ceasefire. The truce failed and coupled with the death of Brigadier General Mallaby, resulting in the issuance of the November 10 ultimatum by the British and the biggest and heaviest November 10 Battle in the history of the Indonesian War of Independence and was designated Heroes' Day. Thank You
