Anyone know whats up with the AK in the background? At first I thought it was an airsoft gun or something because the receiver looks wrong, but everything else looks legit... the wood even has scratches from the latch that releases the gas tube. That is one thing that they share with two of their neuighbours. Czech Republic and Slovakia. When we were still one country, at first we got handed over by Allies when Hitler demanded Czechoslovakia. Czechia got turned into a Protectorate Bohemia and Moravia (completely forgetting that small bit of Silesia that Maria Theresia didn't lose to Poland) and Slovakia to a separate state. Then there was the demarcation line at Pilsen. At the end of the ww2, there was a semi-successfull uprising in Prague. Many hoped Americans would come and help, since they were at Pilsen already. That is roughly 1 hour by car from Prague, so maybe 2-3 max 4 hours for military? Well, it doesn't matter they never came, because they couldn't. Americans weren't allowed to cross the demarcation line and we got handed over to Stalin instead. So from mud to puddle (Czech saying, it means you go from one bad thing to another). Once again I thank you for another amazing episode (indy and Sabaton). "Because we do not beg for freedom. We fight for it!" (Witold Urbanowicz of 303 Kosciuszko Squadron). Ps: Indy, with all due respect (I know polish language is not the easiest one), but not Kock (as in cock, weird, sorry) but something like Kotzk. "C" similar to that of "tz", like in waltz. Cheers.

I like how every enemy was thinking Poland will be taken without big resistence... and then they just met the reality that unitl there is at least one Pole they will met with resist. Because of that Im proud of my country.

So if there's one thing I've gained from watching videos like 40:1 part 1 and 2 and uprising part 1 is that the polish people are truly a force to be reckoned with, even if they're under armed, out gunned, out manned, etc they'll fight to the very end and give you hell for their country. The poles have gained massive respect from me -w- hopefully you're on our side, respect from America

As somebody who is a native Texan i would love love love to have a song about the Alamo. Or the battle of San Jacinto. The battle of the alamo being a rallying last stand. And the battle of San jacinto being the turning point in the Tex-Mex war. You guys are awesome, dont ever stop this \m/

thanks and respect to everyone who participates in sabaton hystory. I am not a super fan of their music (for me it can be louder, faster and a lot harder) But I am a fan of the lyrics and backgrounds. kudos to you guys!

A very interesting episode, the theme of the battle for the Wizna is very amazing and also photos from the shooting of the video clip Seven Pillars of wisdom, thank you Sabaton History, it's a great episode🤘🤘

That was a very educational episode (like all of them really). We never really got into details during the history classes. Indy's attempt at polish wasn't bad either. It was understandable but a little all over the place pronunciation wise. Still kind of impressive. Ah, 40:1, that bring memories. The song to which I was introduced to via my history textbook. In the newer versions we don't always have the translated lyrics but Sabaton and the song is always mentioned in polish history textbooks as a trivia in the invasion of poland chapter.

It's certainly a great surprise, awesome episode! BTW the 'c' in Kock is pronounced like 'ts' (or German z). Indy actually got it right but in another video - episode 006 on the main WW2 channel 'Poland Falls and China Rises'.
