When I first heard this song (Love the song btw) I did not know the history behind it and I had never hear about Audie Murphy. Now that I do know the history the song hits so much harder, as always Sabaton does a great job making amazing music about history. R.I.P Audie Murphy and god bless

This song and story makes me feel patriotic about the UK, even though I'm on the other side of the planet, the idea of Britain doing all that for what seems like "just an island" is awesome. Cool stuff and cool song.

I have an old book from Grosset and Dunlap's Air Combat Stories for Boys Pulp Aviation Series : Flying Black Birds, written by Thomson Burtis. Published in 1932. It is a story about American Aces serving in France , fighting against the germans in world war 1. Burtis was in fact a World War 1 combat veteran himself and brought authenticity to this, and the other 3 volumes he wrote in said series which is a hidden gem for history fans like me. I've also heard from vintage book historian Gary Lovisi on his youtube channel that boys who grew up reading said book and others at the time of publication, were inspired to enlist as air combat pilots in World War 2!

Those Brazilian soldiers were forgotten for decades when they returned to Brazil because the dictator Getúlio Vargas feared that they, with their combat experience, would overthrow his regime. Brazil's participation in the Second World War was fundamental in providing raw materials, logistics, escort and naval patrol throughout the South Atlantic since mid-1942, sinking several German submarines.

Fun Fact: Home Army considered an attack on Auschwitz, however they abandon such plan because they calculated that no more than around 400 prisoners would be successfully liberated, with all the rest dy!ng either during the operation or shortly afterwards, or would be left in camp which would likely also result in de@th

In 2025, certain people on the Left, want to do this shit to a certain demographic in the United States. I think the lessons of history should be remembered so that the targeted people can do something about it before things get out of hand. After all, we are the majority of the population, at the moment. Now is the time to prevent this insanity from happening again. Just saying for a friend

As a Finn, with a country so densely populated with metal bands, I've got to say, it's shameful that the we needed our neighbors to show us how to make a metal song about such an iconic soldier.

Lest we forget, even 110 years later… Truly one of the most incredible moments in human history as it shows how if given the chance, we’d rather befriend each other than fight, despite how deep rooted human nature is in conflict.
