Thank you so much for clarifying this for me in a way that I could understand it! I have been tearing myself up about whether I am supposed to be observing the Sabbath or not. I feel so much better now! Thank you!!

If someone is not willing to respond to you to defend their religious beliefs then they are not honest people because if they are teaching is the truth then why won't they defend it? They are called false teachers.

Best way for me to understand it was to remember that the Old Testament is there for our learning and the New Testament is what we are under. I just accept what the New Testament tells us as if I had never read the old.

The Sabbath day controversy is and becoming a big problem in the body of Christ. Thank you two for addressing the issue, but I think you could have presented more scriptures. This topic should not be addressed casually. As the writer of Hebrews reasons, why would God replace the old covenant unless it was flawed (Hebrews 7:11; 8:13)? Since the old covenant was obviously flawed due to a dependence on sinful humans, a better covenant needs to be grounded on better promises. Christ's ultimate, finished, perfect work on our behalf is that very thing. This sets the stage for chapter 9, which will explore the relationship between the earthly tabernacle and the heavenly work performed by Jesus Christ.

The Bible never refers to Sunday as “the Lord’s day”. This video is filled with errors.

what about Hebrews 4:4? isn't that in the New Testament?

The Hebrews writer is using the physical example of the Sabbath rest to teach about the eternal spiritual rest that Christians are striving for. Be sure to go all of the way to verse 11. If we are to keep the Sabbath, then we must also keep the animal sacrifices (Galatians 5:3). The context of the entire book of Galatians is about the improperness of taking one part of the old law, circumcision, and adding it to the new. Just read Galatians and where it says circumcision, just insert Sabbath. Also consider the discussion in Acts 15. Im just a student too, so please dig into the word.

Hebrews 4 is the definitive passage regarding Jesus as our Sabbath rest. The writer to the Hebrews exhorts his readers to “enter in” to the Sabbath rest provided by Christ. After three chapters of telling them that Jesus is superior to the angels and that He is our Apostle and High Priest, he pleads with them to not harden their hearts against Him, as their fathers hardened their hearts against the Lord in the wilderness. Because of their unbelief, God denied that generation access to the holy land, saying, “They shall not enter into My rest” (Hebrews 3:11). In the same way, the writer to the Hebrews begs his readers not to make the same mistake by rejecting God’s Sabbath rest in Jesus Christ. "So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his". We enter the Sabbath rest by placing our faith in Christ.

Also, the Law was not done away with! We fulfill the law by being in Christ. "For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit". The law was not done away with. We keep the Law by loving God and others. Romans 13:8-10: “Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. For this, ‘you shall not commit adultery, you shall not murder, you shall not steal, you shall not covet,’ and if there is any other commandment, it is summed up in this saying, ‘you shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.”

For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another. But God found fault with the people and said: 'The days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah. It will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they did not remain faithful to my covenant, and I turned away from them, declares the Lord. This is the covenant I will establish with the people of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, 'Know the Lord,' because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest. For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.' By calling this covenant 'new,' he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear.( Hebrews 8:7-13).

Do not follow that deceiver, that is delusion ! they are far from the Kingdom, not near before even in. god's of this world, 2Thes 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 2Cor 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 2Cor 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. Eph 4:14 That we [henceforth] be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, [and] cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; Eph 4:20 But ye have not so learned Christ;
