Oh my goodness, I have been binging your podcast lately and just discovered in this episode about your tie to JH Ranch!! My husband and I were in ministry school at Bethel 10 years ago and got to go there on retreat which was LIFE CHANGING! As you both, our theology has grown in the years- but that was such a special time of our lives that we’re so grateful for. That was so cool for me to hear the tie there, because I have grown to love and respect you guys so much. Such an amazing legacy you’re apart of. ❤

My husband and I were just having this conversation about the communities we're a part of too. Trying to decipher with intentionality and discernment where the Lord wants us to focus our time and energy in this season. It's such a strange "problem" to have - because its also such a blessing! Having "too" much community 😂 We're so fortunate to have so many incredible families and fellowship to be a part of, but its hard not to feel stressed rather than blessed sometimes! ❤

We are missionaries with ywam and my husband and I were just processing what it’s like working closely with Christian’s of all denominations. Definitely lots of very apparent differences. It’s a challenge to focus on the commonalities but we are stronger together we believe in the end as a mission. It’s an ongoing day to day things though for sure! Worship times can be interesting 😅

I used to listen to your podcast and took a break for a while. Coming back to it this summer I can so much see your maturity and growth. You guys are blessed to be gaining such wisdom at young ages (I'm not that much older than you, but went through similar stages you talk about.)

We do something very similar to what your parents do in Orthodox Christianity! We are encouraged to study our heavenly genealogy, the Lives of the Saints, every day as daily reminders for how to follow Christ better. For example, today is commemorated a 4th century saint named Moses the Black who used to be a murderer and a robber but later turned to Christ. We hang icons of our favorite saints like portraits of loved ones and study their lives.

Wow you guys are amazing! You have been having a busy summer and throwing out awesome podcast episodes, they have been on fire! I am also in the get it all done club and hoping to become a member of the VMA for my 30th bday in October. We got 4 kiddos about the same ages as your oldest 4. Anyways praying for you and always love listening to any of your stuff! God bless 🙏🏻❤️

Studying church history is so important. When you have a particular belief system you should know the history of that belief system because while the Bible is God’s word, there are things that are incorporated into all faiths that come from historical things as well.

Also I’m stocked to hear you have Dutch ancestry! I’m from Holland and thought your name to be Dutch, so that’s awesome! 🎉

I’ve been thinking a bit 🤷🏽 about edifying more than the ‘calling out other Christian’s’. It can be helpful if it’s in private and I was thinking about it a bit. I’d let them know they’re strengths as a Christian, then say I’m also not good at this particular sin I think ur dealing with it too. Then I’d say what do u think about this verse this is what God says He wants us to be. Then I’d try to break down steps to get there. It’s tricky for this in real life situation to respect ppl.

In 9ne of their recent podcasts she shared that one of her grandparents was in a cult that didn't believe in water baptism or communion because of dispensational theology.
