YES to trapping videos and YES to more "What's For Dinner!" You know, Rachel, when God put it in your heart to take a sabbath rest from the homestead, I'd say it was so that you would have the "margins" available to BE THERE for your family and such! As Todd mentioned in the video, you would not have been able to handle it ALL otherwise!! Thank you Lord for preparing our paths ahead of us and then nudging us in those directions!!

Rachel and Todd, your closing statement was exactly what I was thinking. In following God’s plan for a sabbath year, you were prepared to follow God’s plan for supporting your family. Prayers for you both to continue in the hollow of His hand.

I've missed your company, but I realised that you have a life to live, and I'm glad you were able to be there for your family (just sorry that they needed you for such emotional reasons) Your property is looking so pretty as Fall begins. I am discovering that the cyclical life of the garden keeps me grounded (pun intended) when the world seems so frightening and crazy, and for that secure feeling I am so grateful. I'm a novice gardener, but am gradually adding new things to my repertoire, both in the garden and the kitchen. So I look forward to sharing next year with you in your garden and kitchen. Thank you for all that you share with us, and never feel that you owe us explanations. Like all good friends, you can go for a while without seeing each other, then just carry on from where you left off last time you were together. Have a blessed weekend xx

I miss the kitchen time. I started canning because of you. I'm in my 60s and garden year around and have a full time job. Everyone needs a break. I hope you have some time for rest. Please take care of yourself. I will keep watching no matter how few or many videos you put out. All the trees are looking great. Just think how lovely it will be in 10-20 years

Rachel, I sincerely hope one day I can handle life with as much grace and wisdom as you. We appreciate the update and hope that the remainder of the year brings you some much deserved peace and joy. My husband and I would love the What's For Dinner series to return. Cooking is one of our common interests, and we love the slow and quiet nature of your videos. We often watch them together as we prepare our own dinner and it feels almost as though we have friends joining us.

What a year you’ve had. I would have to agree that you are spot on in saying that a sabbath year from gardening was all part of God’s plan to free you up in order to fully honor and support your family. I love that you keep the details private BTW. Trust in the Lord and know that he is guiding our every step. Be well and blessings to you both! ❤

Thank you both for all that you do and all that you share. I appreciate you. I have missed you and missed all that you bring. Please bring back everything that you did in the past. What’s for dinner was great and I loved all of the canning videos, I find myself search your videos when I want a recipe. Again, Thank you and Many continued blessings to you both and your families. If it makes you feet a bit better, Rachel, my husband and I expanded our garden planted the biggest amount we have grown (only in our third year as gardeners) and my whole summer was lost due to the illness and loss of my mom. I will always cherish the last weeks I spent taking care of her. I missed the majority of harvest season in the summer but there is nothing more important than being there for your family in times of trials and happiness. We plan our steps but in the end God determines the paths we take.

You've maintained a presence here even if videos slowed down at times. But, you know what? Everyone takes time off..sometimes lengthy periods. With tv shows they usually take a few months during the year. So it's ok..take the time you need for personal obligations and enjoy this sabbatical from gardening. Hope you have found resolution for personal issues you have dealt with this year, sorry for the sad events you had to experience and looking forward to seeing you back at it next year!

Hey Y’all, It is so nice to see you two today. The most important part of the future is to set healthy boundaries for yourself. All the folks here can understand you doing what is best for you, Todd, your family and farm. Anyone that does not understand will need to get over it. For me I never have any expectation from any channel I follow. As a person watching these I appreciate what ever someone wants to film. I watch almost every video no matter the topic. I would offer this prayer for you that God will bless you, your farm and all of your ideas and plans for KZbin for as long as you desire to do this. So thank you for what you do, being here as you are able. For me that is way more than enough. God bless y’all take care bye for now, Steven.

First, I'm so sorry to hear about your niece and also your father's diagnosis. I will be saying prayers for your family. Taking a Sabbath year off was definitely a "God thing" as I call it. When you can look back and say, I know that was you God... what a blessing. All the trees you've planted, wow!! Sometimes, it's just necessary to take some down that would do more harm than good! Yes, please on the "What's for Dinner"! Also, I'd really like to see a video on trapping! We have raccoon, opossum, rabbit, deer, coyotes, among other critters. I realize we can't trap all of the above, but any ideas are always welcome! Looking forward to the next video!

Grace is gladly given! No one can predict when complex families and those needs from loved ones will derail the best of intentions. As long as we all keep loving each other we will come through the challenges. I’m happy that you are granting yourselves that grace as well. Sometimes, all you can do is just keep on keeping on. Having said all that, I’m happy to hear you will be continuing with the channel. I just want you to know. That you and your husband has been such a blessing to me. And then I am very grateful that you share your lives with us. God has plans for each and every one of us. And we must listen to what he wants. I look forward to watching your videos whenever you can put them out. Justknow, it's a blessing to us. We don't expect anything. So when we get the opportunity to be blessed, it's a joy.

Hi Guys! Thanks for the updates! Todd you still need to do updates on where you are with the barn , kitchen floor joists and how the kitchen island cabinet doors are closing now. Oh and most definitely we would love your what's for dinners to start up again! Also, Rachel... we need a pantry tour on where you are after the Sabbath on your jars remaining. Also just for fun an update on top 3 this year likes and dislikes from the pantry- including freeze dried items. Please keep taking time for yourselves. You both deserve it.

You were right where you needed to be !!! So grateful you were able to be with your family. Otherwise you would have been disappointed, and that is not very helpful for the soul. Love you guys so much. You do what you need to do to take care of yourself and others.

PLEASE bring back What's For Dinner!! That's the best with you guys!! I've missed you guys these last few months, so I'm happy to hear you're not going anywhere! Completely understand what you were saying about this year Rachel. It's the old saying, we make plans and God laughs. He definitely had other plans for me this year, so I feel you on that. You guys make me smile; I love your love (reminds me so much of me and my husband). I had a medical situation this summer that caused me to take a break for several months, but the up side was that it brought me closer to my husband. You both seem happy and I wish you nothing but happiness going forward. Can't wait to see What's for Dinner!!! 💜💜
