Holding on to Jah is a 2-episodes docu-series that will inform, educate and entertain viewers with the different expressions of the Rastafari Spirituality. The program seeks to promote religious tolerance while demystifying the negative myth attached to the Rastafari Spirituality due to lack of knowledge.
There are a lot of questions that have not been asked and those that have been asked but have not been answered. This show’s objective is to tackle such questions and also educate Africans about the religion that is amongst them and has been in existence since the beginning of time.
Issues of Faith, is a documentary series that reflects various issues that confront South Africa’s religious communities.

My grand father used the Ganja for everything he use to cook with it season meat, fish and vegetable and also make Ganja wine cough syrups and skin cares and pain relief medicines. He used it until the age of 101 years before he transient in the spirit realm. Ganja herb is a great plant and everyone must embrace it, use it, love it for its goodness GOD given healing plant for food and medicine also for clothing and many other uses.

I'm not a rasta but much respect to the focus of what they're trying to protrait in his IMPERIAL MAJESTY KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. I think the work is more important of THE MOST HIGH GOD which is to be established among his people in righteousness infront or behind every man who ever he wishes to call himself. Blessed love brothers and sisters.

Yes I Love and more strength to the Rastafari community of South Africa. This is a strength to I and I in the U.S. and the West generally. The move is for full freedom for religious use of Cannabis. It must be removed from the Federal Schedule 1 dangerous drugs, which makes it appear that it is of the same nature as cocaine and Heroin. Jah Love-Fire forivah more.

Rastafari live. South African Rastas are diverse, and this is just a few of the witnesses that appeared on this programme. But we do give thanks for the exposure, and hope that the episodes on this will continue until it reach all full circle of Rastas in our nation. Even those who are in prison and those who live in caves in mountains. Hailie I Jah Rastafari. Thanks to Isaac Tau Tau for this initiative. Much Raspect

March , March . Although I locks my head. I'm not of no Religion or Religious. I need answers, I seek it within me. But, it time Rasta Spiritually, mentally and immotionally, be accepted everywhere. Be strong and VICTORIOUS and also be Vigilant around your surroundings. Even ( Man to Man, Women's to Women's) is so I just in this Creation. They got more right than the Rasta movement, and to me that is Corruption.

When Selassie came to Jamaica he gave the Three Rastafarian elders (like the Three wisemen in the bible) Golden medallions ... fully endorsing Rastafari movement and thats how the movement became so popular because it was approved and validated by His Majesty himself..... from judaism to christianity to rastafari ....Selassie i is Christ in his kingly character .... you could get on board ZION train or you could keep waiting for white jesus to come from the sky....

(41:50) it's a religion as well. Rastafarianism is based on Ethiopian christianity [a religion]. Rastafari/Rastafarianism did not exist until 1930. A Rasta by defintion is somebody who believes in Ras Tafari Makonnen (as "God" and the second coming of the Messiah).

It is an indisputable fact that RASTAFARI (the Rastafarian Movement) has grown to be the social force that it is (and indeed a force to be reckoned with) because of the lasting impact of His Imperial Majesty (HIM) Emperor Haile Selassie I on Rastafarian adherents around the world, and on the world in general. Equally so, it is irrefutably the case that RASTAFARI might never have come into being without the prophetic messaging of the Rt. Hon. Marcus Mosiah Garvey. For all intents and purposes, therefore, RASTAFARI must be construed as the DIALECTICAL outcome of the ideas of Prophet Marcus, and the broader Pan-Africanist outlook of HIM. In other words, RASTAFARI is a SYNTHESIS of the THESIS of Garvey's Black Nationalism and the ANTITHESIS of HIM's UNIVERSALISM. Confronting the apparent backwardness of the AFRICAN RACE during a period in which institutional racism was the order of the day, Garvey was right in insisting that it was incumbent upon Black people to "pull themselves up by their own bootstrap." Garvey's approach to uplifting the African People might have seemed like a case of reversed racism but that kind of tough love was indeed appropriate because "it takes steel to cut steel", and the best cure for any ailment is often an antidote made from the same venom by which the ailment was caused. On the other hand, HIM had lived long enough to realize that there will never be any real hope for the human race "UNTIL THE PHILOSOPHY WHICH HOLDS ONE RACE SUPERIOR AND ANOTHER INFERIOR IS FINALLY AND PERMANENTLY DISCREDITED AND ABANDONED." Hence, RASTAFARI is, in essence, a Movement for all races through which UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD could be achieved. ("RED, BROWN, YELLOW, BLACK, and WHITE, WE'RE ALL PRECIOUS IN JAH SIGHT, JAH JAH LOVES ALL THE CHILDREN OF HIS WORLD"). HIM also envisioned a world in which the so-called "rule of law" is replaced by the RULE OF INTERNATIONAL MORALITY. For while the "rule of law" primarily serves the narrow interests of the lawmakers, the RULE OF INTERNATIONAL MORALITY is premised on the NEGATIVE AFFIRMATION of the GOLDEN RULE which admonishes: "DO NOT DO UNTO OTHERS WHAT YOU WOULD NOT LIKE TO HAVE DONE TO YOURSELF". It is only by adopting such an ENLIGHTENED ethical framework that "THE BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS [WOULD BE] EQUALLY GUARANTEED TO ALL WITHOUT REGARD TO RACE." Within less than a century, RASTAFARI has evolved from a marginalized and ostracized group of dispossessed Jamaicans under the leadership of Leonard Howell to a global movement with over 30 million followers - and growing. Even so, despite the meteoric growth of the Movement, no one should lose sight of the fact that RASTAFARI must still navigate some very rough waters ahead. Many well-meaning proselytes like Dr. Vernon Carrington (Prophet Gad), Jacob (Killer) Miller of "CHAPTER A DAY" renown, Bob Marley, and countless others (although often mistaken) have played their part in helping to propagate the Rastafarian philosophy from the early days in which so-called experts from the University of the West Indies (UWI) like Professor Rex Nettleford and other so-called authorities in academia saw RASTAFARI as a mere cult with an expected limited life span. On the contrary, RASTAFARI has stood the test of time and many issues, like the significance of marijuana, the primacy of Biblical teaching, the misguided claim of the "divinity or deity" of HIM, the actual typology or ontological nature of the movement, whether RASTAFARI is a religion or a "LIVITY", etc., etc. are still to be debated and settled. Still, compared to most of the larger social institutions like Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Marxism/Leninism, and others that have been in existence for millenniums and which have all failed so far to bring about peace on Earth, RASTAFARI, which has been around for a mere 100 years, could rightly be regarded as being in its infancy stage. Thus, there is still quite some time remaining for the Movement to fully evolve and properly assert itself. And so, unless Rastafarians who are truly committed to HIM's admonishment to strive toward ENLIGHTENMENT allow charlatans and other similar types to misappropriate and ultimately derail the Movement, there is still reason to hope that MANKIND/WOMANKIND might one day find ourselves living in the kind of world envisaged by RASTAFARI.
