It was great privilege to work with mukoma Jonah on this song. I did backing vocals together with Moses Mullah. May his soul rest in peace.

Hi! Glad you like the track. The song has cryptic lyrics. The title means ‘Village Chief Or Headman’. The setting were everything is playing out is a traditional one, a family or clan has been ravaged by witchcraft probably practiced by the some of the family members themselves. There are lies, mistrust, etc which has probably worsened the situation. The family is distraught, village chiefs are distressed…hope that helps..

Sorry sir , I dont mean to be rude but the fact is, Thomas Mukanya was not discovered by Jonah Sithole but the other way round, Mukanya as we affectionately know him lined up with some of the finest lead guitaristand bassists in Zimbabwe throughout his eras with Hallelujah Chicken Runn, Acid band then the Blacks Unlimited, Thomas Mapfumo discovered Jonah Sithole, Jonah played what Mapfumo wanted him to play,there is not a single song of Mapfumo that Jonah wrote or co-wrote. It was when Jonah thought he was bigger than Mapfumo that he was allowed to leave amicable, then came in the another maestro, Ashton Sugar Chiweshe. You have little knowledge about the man you are attempting to talk about. Jonah was a fine guitarist but not Zimbabwe's best, we had guys like Stanley Manatsa of the Green Arrows, who up to now is rated as having played tZimbabwes finest lead guitar work on the song Chipo Chiroorwa. Mukanya is and will always be the Stand Alone Champion.
@kingjayhussein56735 жыл бұрын
Mambo Samaita Ok,But did you know Jonah invented the way to bring out the mbira sound from the guitar.? Mapfumo will testify to that.
@paddingtonmukumba5619 Жыл бұрын
Total lie man, mukanya is way bigger than one talented individual, mukanya taught jonah how to play the guitar the way he wanted it to be played, to testify this mukanyas music excelled more even after jonahs death with more diversified guitar lines…

@paddingtonmukumba56199 ай бұрын
@@lytonsibanda5453you are a lier...Thomas gave jonah the idea of fusing the mbira to the electric sound...jonah adopted to mukanyas idea...Thomas is the pioneer of this thing...he actually started this fusion with joshua dube and the likes of picket chiyangwa..jonah joined later
