Right on! I really enjoy fishing there. Caught everything from blue cat to red fish on the same trip. No sharks tho!

Same here! I’ll definitely be doing more trips like this. Last week I caught two channel cats close to the mouth of black bayou. If you go back soon use a big chunk of mullet or croaker with no weight on them. Just let them free float in the current

What an awesome day! Mine was pretty similar. 7’ bull shark, 7 trout, 3 redfish, many hardheads, sail cats and lady fish.

Heck yeah! I’m gonna try to get a few big sharks next month in Trinity Bay! I’ve been wanting to shark fish so bad for them this year and haven’t had a chance to go yet. Hopefully I’ll get a 7 to 8’ shark on video.

@@lanceduff I had a couple from Houston that took pictures of me fighting it on light tackle 17# test. There seems to be a lot more sharks this year. I had one shark attack a speckled trout I had on. He broke my line.

@@donalddavis5598 dang! I bet that was a fight! A lot of guys have said the exact same thing about the sharks. The Sabine seems to have more salt in it than it usually does. Maybe we’ll have a really good winter for big trout.

@@lanceduff Yes sir! I catch one almost every trip or get broke off. Would love a big trout for the La. STAR tournament!

@@donalddavis5598 that would be nice. The best way I know to catch the big ones is live croaker

What a weird slam ( Shark, Bass, Black Drum, Gaftop Catfish ). At least you were catching !

Haha right!? That was definitely a first for me! I really think I could have caught reds if I would have fished Black Bayou a lot longer but it was a strange windy day 😂

What kinda “stern camera holder” Do you have and where is this location I’m new to boating Sabine

Ive got a GoPro camera on a YOLO stick that mounts in my anchor light socket. I filmed most of this at the mouth of the Sabine River where it dumps in to the bay. It’s good fishing between there and where the Neches is at. Welcome to the area!
