what are you doing your het piebald geckos? are they growup?
@Ajaxtrippy269 ай бұрын
They’re separate alleles, they share the same loci. Allele is a version of a gene. Loci is it’s location. So you would have whatever the wildtype gene it’s replacing, sable, and capp as different alleles. But they all share the same loci or location on the chromosome.
@AkselStorhaug9 ай бұрын
They dont share the same allele, if allelic, they are different alleles. Alleles are different forms of a gene.. They are the same gene! Lesser, mojave and so on are the same gene, different mutations, allelic mutations, same gene!

I'm a huge fan of yours. Also wanted to buy a 20 pack of geckos from you unfortunately you dont deliver in europe. Wanted to start my own business with high end geckos from the beginning and your geckos are just unbelivable.

Hmmm? I think i had two female sables and didn't know. I sold them. They were just like he described. Maybe they weren't but it sure sounds like they were.

When you're breeding two females to one male, and you have a laybox in with them, how do you tell which eggs come from which female? It seems that crested gecko genes in and of themselves are extremely complicated and difficult to track. Mainly because there are so many other traits that have been stacked on different geckos to get a certain look that when you're breeding to another gecko with different traits it just muddies everything up. Same with ball Python breeding with stacked genes. And then you throw on all the base colors with the physical traits like size of crests, pinstriping and head structure ect. Even though you broke it down into very easy digestible information it was still hard to follow 😂 Also, when you breed two cresteds together and another pair with the same genes, both offspring from different pairs will still have so much variation within their offspring. It's madness 😂

Can you please do a video on Pixel? There seems to be too many opinions and confusion about that trait within the industry leaders!

Can you breed sisters and brothers ❓Sorry for awkward question 😳
@TikisGeckos2 ай бұрын
You can but you really shouldnt because of the risk of genetic defects and there is plenty of unrelated geckos you can breed to
