Thanks guys! Awesome episode, as always! What the Capp gene giveth, it also taketh away. Same with Sable I think. It’s just backwards from hatchling to adult. The Capp/Sable gene enhances either color or white. What makes it disappear? That’s the question. Especially when mixed with the darkest animals. This question keeps me awake at night 😂😂

The cream that goes white is the same in Capps. Not just a sable thing. It’s all about the pairings.

I bought a Frappuccino from a male cappuccino with some white and a female that looks like a red phantom lilly. Fired up it looks like a red, dark brown with white. Fired down it’s a pale blue grey and white. Is red a dominant trait and phantom a recessive trait?

Also, does anyone have an official list of genetic traits and what traits are recessive, dominant or co-dominant?

If you look through foundation genetics, you may find those answers. As for a 1 page list, I’m not sure there is any. Partly because there are still morphs that the hobby is still proving out. I would reach out to Anthony and Jess and Lil Monsters to get some more clarification on this🤙🏻

i think i have produced sable that are unrelated to the geckos you are presenting. im not 100% sure, but i noticed the same weird expressions in the tale if someone would like to get in touch with me i can send some photos over
