I bought the Good Lifts, and although pretty good as far as stiffness and ankle stability... The velcro strap was kind of a throwaway considering it deteriorated after about 6-8mo of use - basically when it REALLY started to get broken in good. I have since switched to the Ursus and will never look back.

I’ve had these since last year and they are great. It does take time to get used to squatting but I prefer deadlifting in them. My only gripe on them is that if I wear them for too long my right pinky toe starts to feel discomfort on the edge of the shoe like a weird stabbing pin feeling.
@TheRandomVaper2 жыл бұрын

I have had these for a couple of months. I use them for the strongman events such as yoke, farmers and over heard presses. They give a nice support. For the deadlift, I try to manipulate the rom to be as short as possible so socks only for me.

Would you say these are significantly better than the Deadlift Pros? My chucks are on their last legs, and while I currently deadlift in slippers, I was thinking of getting a proper pair of shoes for deadlifting and squatting, and these are the ones I'm looking at currently, but I don't want to spend more money if there's not a significant difference in quality and performance. I am also only currently pulling 237.5kg as a max, so I'm far from as strong as you yet.

Hey CB! I just received my pair of the heavy duty, and I can feel my toe slightly pushing on the front of the shoe. You mentioned that the fit was a bit tight the first few wears, but would you increase the size if the toe is touching the tip of the shoe? Thanks, and amazing content!

The tightness was more for the width vs. length so if your toe is at the front I would probably size up.

I get that while reviewing a shoe, style should be a judged category. But I think for these particular shoes we could just skip it. The style is a zero out of whatever the rating system is. In fact I would argue that this shoe was designed as to not have any actual style whatsoever.
