Wayne, can you make a video on Ostlund? I think it would be a mistake to move that guy. According to Jerry in our scouting department, he is the most well-rounded prospect we have. Ostlund is such a stud

I also think Savoie will be a Sabres next season and not in the AHL, and I believe Savoie is one of the few legit prospects who made Mitts look more expendable, along with Kulich.

I agree it would be a MASSIVE mistake to move savoie, This guy is going to be a top 1st and 2nd line center. And team is already stacked with prospects, acquiring more would be a mistake, and I think acquiring a older vet is shooting our future in the foot to get what maybe a deep playoff run we are not ready for? I'd rather be 100% competing for the cup then to bandage our roster to just scratch a playoff itch. We all know this has been rough, but it needs to matter.

Wayne, Saturday could be a glorious day! If: Our Sabres defeat the Dead Wings. The Ottawa Otters upset the Brooklyn Islanders. Roam's Rangers should beat the flightless birds of Pittsburgh.j The Canucks should crunch the Olvechkin's. When we water our horses tomorrow night, the standings could be: Red Winkys 72 points Islanders 72 points Sabres 71 points Das Capitals 71

I think Savoie needs to develop in Roch, not Buffalo. He won’t hit and will be a kid vs men. Let’s sign some grit and bring in the little skill guys up when they’re stronger with more experience. We all LOVE Benson’s game but he’s developing on a team that’s expected to make the playoffs. Two different objectives .
@buttkick22

@@captainahab4325but hitting is absolutely needed somewhere on the team. You cannot keep playing undersized children who get muscled off the puck on every single line. I’m getting kind of sick of seeing our goalies get run multiple times and star players/kids being targeted and beat up all year. They desperately need grit. More than anything really.

@@captainahab4325 well yea, if they balance the roster they have room. I have no problem with him taking krebs spot or whatever else unproven young pick that everyone keeps saying will also make the team next year. It just cant be yet another year of almost an entire team of kids with little to limited experience as your forwards. They HAVE to have some muscle and a deterrent next year. Otherwise have fun watching dahlin get headshot or elbowed in the face for the umpteenth time and guys like tuch and cozens getting beaten bloody. Its been happening for years. Enough is enough already.

If our potential forward lines next season are: Skinner-Thompson-Tuch Peterka-Cozens-Quinn Savoie-Krebs-Benson Greenway-Kulich-Robinson We’re looking at a team that RJ would refer to as “Scary Good”!!

I think Rosen might fit better at that 4C right now/next season. Buffalo is going to have to make additional trades. They have; Savoie, Rosen, Kulich and Ostlund………all top tier 1st round guys. Then they have 2nd rounders; Poltapov, Kisakov, Walhberg and D man Strbak. What the hell do we do with all those guys?
@KetoFitChef
@KetoFitChef 6 ай бұрын
@@danevertt3210 Kulich/Rosen may be a toss up, but if they both show up ready to play, it may come down to moving Robinson. Or they could just bring them both up and rotate the 4 of them in and out of the lineup. As far as Strbak, I’m excited for him because in one of the videos on this channel the night of the 1st round of the draft, I predicted that the Sabres were going to draft Strbak in the 2nd round! I’m sure that by the time those guys are ready to make the NHL, Skinner, Robinson, Greenway, Joki and maybe Samuelson will have moved on.

The only issue I have with him is that he is only 5'10". Mind you I still want him in the NHL especially with his old teammate Benson. I don't get how a WHL can trade so much for a guy that may only play this season there. I don't get why so much for like 3/4 of a season. I also think he would be one to make the jump next year over Kulich, but I do like that Kulich is much bigger and won't be bullied as much.

Savoie needs a year in rochester. He needs to feel the jump from playing against peers to playing against men and NHL caliber talent. The sabres don’t need to rush another small, young, and soft player. They desperately need grit. Savoie is going to be a stud. He needs to round out his game and be able to play responsibly at both ends of the ice, and put on some weight. He also needs to get healthy. Savoie like every other elite talent won't get there by skill alone though. He's going to have to put in the work and focus on his development.

I don't think he needs to put on much weight, his skating is elite and his speed is what is going to make him an NHL player, he will never be a strong guy he is 5'9 ffs and is already 179 lbs. You think Benson is small? Benson is 5'10, 149, Savoie is even shorter and has 20 lbs on Benson so ya I think he is pretty good weight wise for his height. Benson needs to gain 25 lbs though.

Savoie is like the Dollar Tree version of Benson and that's why people forget about him. The second they drafted Benson that made Savoie less necessary here and thus less valuable.
@RoamHockey

@chadcousins2563
@chadcousins2563 6 ай бұрын
@RoamHockey IMO he'd be far more valuable as a trade piece to get a player who we actually need to help make the playoffs and furthermore a deep run. We've got a lot if similar type players here currently, but what we don't have is size and physical play combined with someone who can actually fight. Sure Savoie may be a good young player, but so are all our prospects. You have to ask, where exactly does Savoie fit on this roster? As long as we have Skinner here taking up a spot and eating up $9M in cap alongside playing no defense many of these skill players don't have a legit spot outside of a role in the bottom 6 that doesn't fit their skillset.
