fuckin A, right here you said it. I mean, ofcourse gore would be hella epic but creativity beats gore any day of the week. Besides, the originals weren't that gory anyway, at least not on the level of Mortal Kombat. This is the first ultimate I truly liked because it looks fuckin cool, can't say the same for the others

The only weak ones so far IMO are TJ Combo's and Mira's. All the others have been very imaginative and fit each character.

Hear me out, we are controlling the beast within Saberwulf. He loses control in wolf form and we give all the commands as the beast. He initiates his ultimate on Jago but in an act of defiance he briefly regains control, changes targets, and attacks the player at the last moment.
