Honestly there's always something so interesting in a fight between two werewolves. It's a visceral spectacle that most normally never witness, since both are far beyond what we would call normal limits. While both are still men, this was still a fight between savage beasts, and beasts do not show mercy.

I think it's mainly because Werewolves are pretty underutilized. At least compared to their monster rivals like vampires and zombies.

Zombies are easy; they generally don't require complex characterization or extended arcs. Drop them in and point them in the direction of the target. Shoot their heads or blow them to bits and they're down. Vampires, beginning in the era of Stoker's Dracula (who had Romani to help him, thankyouverymuch Hollywood), are aristocratic and sexy, an easy way of both punching up and expressing forbidden sex appeal. (Although the aristocratic part has changed in the 21st century.) Vampires are also a way of expressing minority conflict with a majority that hates them, and vampiric limits mean they aren't _too_ dangerous. Werewolves? When they aren't straight monsters, they're very complex, and often come from the common population. You can't bar them from a house by not inviting them in, or distract them with scattered grain to count. They're smarter than zombies, even in full beast-mind, and kill as a beast does, rather than a neat neck puncture. They're hard to put in a little safe box.

And yes, I know they're dark lords and not vampires, but in Silmarillion (which is set in the time before The Hobbit and LotR when he was liutenant of Morgoth), it was described that Sauron transformed into vampire bat creature. And in Bionicle 2: Legend of Metru Nui movie, Makuta Teridax was able to "suck" bird-Rahi Niwak and the two Dark Hunters Krekka and Nidhiki into his vortex form in order to merge with them into winged Shadow Titan (or Ultimate Dume as a toy), which is the closest thing to vampire in Lego series made for kids.

It was clear who was more powerful, but I've seen martial arts characters shredded by more brutish enemies. I only guessed at the outcome here, and it does not disappoint. It's much better than how I hoped it would go. Fits the tropes very well, and that's how a monster vs. monster fight should be, regardless if one seems more heroic and the other more like a vicious beast.

Sometimes I feel the power justifications are a little...contrived. Like comparing Talbain and Q-Bee just because they are both B class Darkstalkers without there being a proper metric of what the strengths and weaknesses of members of that class are. Just because Q-Bee can control the hive base doesn't mean Talbain has mountain-moving power, or can psychically move monuments like Anakaris. Yes the classes mean they are one similar levels of overall power and fighting prowess, but it doesn't mean the strengths are comparable.

Oh that? For Q-Bee, it was mainly since scaling and such. Since fighting game characters lack that a lot, plus they used a Meteor feat for Sabrewulf that really wasn’t backed up that much for him, so this much is fair for Jon. Especially since it’s actual metric for the characters in the Darkstalker’s world given, so it makes sense to use. For Anakaris, as per the tab and the QnA, used Ki to sink Egypt. Since they used the same energy, and how they are of the same class, that should very well put Talbain on similar levels.
