People on Twitter called her an industry plant then forgave her when they found her recent content arousing, my feed had people calling her a plant then the vocal majority was okay with her being popular when she did what she did.

sabrina carpenter has always been pretty popular even before the music video w jenna ortega this video is completely valid but yeah at the end of the day, she's been grinding for years and i'm glad she's made a name for herself in the music industry

Sabrina isn't a role model to little girls any more and hasn't been for a WHILE she has grown up (like all disney/nickelodon stars) and has found her style. Plus her audience is primarily women in her 20's and older teenagers If you go back and listen to her firsst five albums in order and then listen to short 'n sweet you can tell that it wasn't giant jump from child star to main stream artis, but a progress that has taken YEARS.

I know making this video is shaking a hornets nest but I felt like getting it out, there was so much more I wanted to say but I am afraid youtube wouldn't be too happy with it, I should have tried to make the video 8 minutes long but I didn't have much more to say about her, just the fact that she makes average music and now she can get both genders on her side, by combining softcore content with okay-good tier music. If you have to arouse people to get to the mainstream, then you suck.

@@cubedimensions why are you attributing her success to her "arousing" people. Most of her music videos aren't even near as revealing as you claim. And since when does appearing in a show that pushes a certain message mean that you're a complete activist for that show's message? Why are you trying to push the narrative that she's whoring herself out to gain popularity when she already has had popularity for quite some time and her music is literally the overwhelmingly main reason for her popularity.

@@jaechell8401she has gone massively popular even before the Taste music video. Espresso was literally everywhere, the Olivie-Joshua love triangle catapulted EICS and she opened for the Eras tour which drastically widened her demographic range. Girl meets World was also a show that was released a decade ago and the people that watched are grown as hell now. She completely branched out of her Disney image that a LOT of Disney artists do (Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus) but apparently if it’s her, it’s a problem.

The video is too short sadly, KZbin doesn't like promoting videos that barely have any length, 3 minutes isn't enough for KZbin to push this out to their entire platform.

I don’t agree with the Billie eilish statement though. Her music is amazing. Cardi B and other rappers in the female rap industry get so many views because of their bodies. Like ice spice, Megan, etc etc. music isn’t about art, now it’s about pleasing the viewer. Being a product. I was confused when I looked at the lyrics for ‘taste’. They were really…odd.
